Excellent comparison. I switched to B&B a few years ago and have been very happy. Used to be a Kingsford customer. This comparison confirmed my switch. Thanks.

Still learning a lot about charcoal grilling. Really enjoyed this comparison video as you mentioned I saw things in this comparison must others didn't do.

This was a great comparison video. I used up all of my Weber briquettes so now I’m looking for a replacement. I’m tired of using Kingsford. Mostly because of the lower temps and the amount of ash afterwards. It would have been interesting to see the amount of ash under each chimney afterwards. Good video, I enjoyed it. Thanks.

I would have never known or been able to tell the difference. Thank you so much for teaching today. Really enjoyed it.

I'm kind of late to the game, but I'm trying to up my skills from just grilling burgers and dogs. Always used Kingsford for grilling & slow and low (because it's easy available) now that I'm getting into smoking it's time for a bag of B&B. Great comparison of each aspect of different charcoal brands, answered a lot of questions I had. Thanks for posting!

This video should do you well. loved your testing of the different Charcoals. as far as myself. I stocked up on Webers last year when HD started dumping it for 4.99 a bag. when thats done i'll see what's on sale. good stuff.

I was not at all surprised by your results. My brother grabbed a bag of B&B while we were vacationing. I use up bags of Kingsford blue bag every month, mostly due to the cheap price at local big box. That B&B floored me. The temps were crazy consistent and the duration was much more than I had been accustomed to. The premium price is easy to justify for the increase in performance.

I'm doing BnB for the next cook. Been using Walmart's Expert grill and it has been good for getting my wood burner going but not for straight charcoal grilling.

I’ve always used Kingsford my whole life. It hasn’t done me wrong. But the B&B is interesting, maybe if it isn’t ridiculously expensive I might check it out. It definitely has its advantages for long cooks/smokes for sure.

Thanks for the comparison! I have used Kingsford my whole life but recently bought a bunch of RO bags from Lowe’s end of year sale. Will be on the lookout for B&B for my low n slow cooks! Thx again!

I decided to switch back to charcoal and picked up a Weber kettle. The kingsford was on sale but the ace hardware a few miles away has a good stock of B&B. I decided to hold off and do some research. Thanks for making this video.

I'd like to try B & B- looks promising. The challenge for me is that where I live in Dallas, you can get Kingsford in almost any store including hardware stores- so easy to purchase. Kingsford is half the money of B & B. Thanks Johnny!

6:20 In terms off binders or addititives, dirty vs clean smoke:::

Embers is trash. followed by Kingsford and Royal Oak. B&B is the best. If you do the snake method with any of these except B&B or Jealous Devil, you will be eating acrid/off-putting flavors in your BBQ.

Nice video, I liked the comparison. Been using B&B for a while now and I think it's great, burns hot, clean, and lasts a long time, and didn't leave much ash behind. I used to use both Royal Oak and Kingsford a good bit. Royal Oak always burned dirty and would give me some off flavors. I also had way more ash at the end compared to other brands. Kingsford I think is ok, pretty consistent and burns a long time, but doesn't get as hot as other brands. B&B is definitely my favorite.

I just bought my first bag of B&B today. I had never even heard of it until this video. I finally found it at ACE Hardware yesterday! I can’t wait to see how long it lasts on stuff like brisket and Turkey!

Nice! I switched from Kingsford to B&B before this and felt it performed better. Wasn’t in my imagination. Thanks.

Hmm idk I been using embers, that sucker last a long time to kill over, went from kings to embers, never had any issues with taste or cook times when slow cooking or just regular indirect cooking

I’ve used all of these (except Embers) over the years. Cost is a consideration. If I’m grilling something quick, like steaks or burgers, I’ll go with Kingsford or Royal Oak. If I’m cooking low and slow, I’ll use B&B because those larger briquettes last longer and maintain heat better. I also think they have slightly better flavor.
Good comparison. Thanks!!
