Amusingly, in the US, howitzers are completely legal with a 200 dollar tax stamp, so long as you are firing solid shot, and they aren’t subject to any new-production bans like Machine guns are, so they are actually comparatively easy (if expensive and logistically challenging) to get your hands on, and you can theoretically make them without much harassment. So it’s actually more feasible to buy howitzers than machine guns. Do with this what you will
