IT'S FINALLY DONE. This video should not have taken as long as it did. Seriously, I take full responsibility for how long this video took. Anyways, what if Theodore Roosevelt was never President? Well, quite a bit would be different! Enjoy!

I'm so sorry this took so long! It really shouldn't have! I hope it's still worth it though!

On one hand I'm happy that Wilsonianism would never rise to define the US foreign policy on the other I'm sad that one of the most awesome people in history never rose to prominence.

Would Roosevelt become a major general in ww1 or at least invade Canada with the rough riders because that would be amazing

William McKinley wasn't an imperialist. He was actually against annexing Guam and the Philippines but he was persuaded by the delegates in Paris to annex all the islands. Also he wasn't as afraid to use anti trust power as people think and in an address he made it clear his second term would focus on curtailing monopolies and labor abuses. He even appointed prominent union presidents to government positions.

I also wouldn't count out Wilson especially if monopoly and labor reforms go untouched. The progressive movement was basically just the socialist movement so the democratic party would just continue to move in a progressive/socialist direction which they had gone beginning with William Jennings Bryan. I also feel the Wilson is still a possibility considering the GOP was still divided between conservatives and progressives and 1911 saw Democrats retake the House for the first time in 20 years and flip several north state governorships (Wilson in NJ included)

Wilson might end up being the guy who saves America in this timeline due to his economic progressivism (note that i say economic not racial he was evil in that regard) so he is the guy that does all of Roosevelt's antitrust laws

Roosevelt was a great President. But McKinley should not have been taken away. Roosevelt should have won in 1904. Then served from 1905-1913.
