The only issue for rave couples besides insecurities is liking different genres lol

I literally went from “I don’t listen to EDM” to “omg when’s the next rave?” all thanks to my boyfriend. My boyfriend loves raving & it’s just a part of his life so I would never hold him back from going to a show/festival. The music just grew on to me, and then he took me to my first show and I fell in love. We just went to Freaky Deaky together, and next is EDCLV :)

I never raved a day in my life until I met the man of my dreams. He introduced me to a whole new life experience that I now can't get enough of. He took me to my very first festival, Dancefestopia, a few months ago and I was in awe! We have been to a few shows since and now have tickets for Decadence, EDC 2019, are getting tickets for Spring Awakening and Dancefest, and I am so excited. Because of this I have binge-watched all of your videos and feel so prepared and excited for my very first EDC!

Trying to find a date used to be a big priority for me at raves. I had just broken up with my ex and I had this overall mind set of meeting girls and finding someone new at a rave. Let me tell y'all that's not the mindset to stick with when ur at a rave. Go to raves to have fun, liaten to the music, make a few new friends. It used to drive me crazy but I find that being nice and genuine to people, striking up conversation, offering them water, and maybe trading kandi is a helluva lot easier than just trying to get a date. EDM/raving and just music in general is a huge part of my life and one of the main reason why I got to all these events, its so easy for me to connect with people. Maybe one day I'll make THAT connection and sparks will fly. But for right now, its fun to, jaut make a few friends a long the way. Great Vid Emma. Hope to see at EDC or E zoo sometime

My boyfriend is the one who got me into raving, but a struggle now is that I want to go to more shows than he does.

Fortunately for me, like the point you brought up, I met my wife at her first EDC and my second (2015) and both being into the scene helped so much. We fell in love hard and fast and got married this year at EDCLV and have not been out of that "honey moon" stage since day one of our entire relationship. We've been to multiple shows and festivals without each other due to work or other things and it has never been an issue. I believe if your partner makes that an ultimatum or even just a big deal that they're definitely too insecure and in my experiences that usually means they are the one up to no good.

My bf and I have been together for almost six months now after meeting at a show and it's been so amazing to share festivals and shows with him! I enjoyed being single and going to festivals cause I could do my own thing, but being able to share this with him and he fully supports my blog and channel is even better than I could have imagined! Loved this video!

Def was a bad experience, she said she trusted me in the beginning. Then after I took her to her first show, she said I wasn't aloud because she didn't trust the girls. Long story short I am single now, made it last year to my first edc to cheer me up.

my boyfriend introduced me to the rave scene and i couldn’t thank him enough for it! we have so much fun together at every event. he’s taking me to my first edc next year! i think festivals/big events is a great idea for couples honestly. you really get to know someone when you spend that much time with someone :)

Great video, Emma! I come from the other side — 40 something, 9 yo daughter, freshly divorced, into EDM since 1990. I didn’t get the opportunity to do a lot of the rave circuit when I was in my 29’s as it was still warehouses. After college, I was heads down into my career, then marriage, then raising my daughter (who by the way makes Kandi & does the PLUR handshake). Now that I’m divorced and share joint custody, I have every other weekend to go live! I was in a marriage where he didn’t care for EDM and it was my passion. That’s not what ultimately caused the marriage to fail (long story). I’d like to stress your points about if your partner won’t let u do things = red flag. You make valid points about how special the shows are that u do go to now. Balance, communication, mutual respect, and kindness. All the best to you and your boyfriend.... the Rave doors are always open no matter your age. Big hugs. Rave Mama Lexy

I’m glad you made a video about this. I had a boyfriend who was totally against raving and my music taste. Fast forward a couple years later, we broke up and I got to experience EDC LV for the first time and it was the best thing ever. Now I’m in a happy relationship with another raver ❤️❤️❤️

Cool video and awesome channel! Just found it today haha. I'm 27 also and found my girlfriend right after I started raving in 2016 when I was 23. We still go to festivals / shows together but like you said the frequency is lower (since we have stuff to do around the house, just relaxing, going to see my family, etc). But you hit the nail on the head! Thanks for giving your opinion and point of view :)

Why didn't I find this video of yours years ago...! All your points and advice hit me deep. Just getting out of an emotionally and mentally abusive marriage right now. This year will be my first time to EDCLV! One item off the bucket list: CHECK! Not looking for "love", just going to have loads of fun with my friends and hey, whatever happens, happens, right! Liked and subbed 🤗

omg I relate! I once dated this guy I met a rave, and I thought it would be great, until HE got super jealous of me going to raves (what?) Ravers can be jealous too! Now, I'm dating the love of my life, and he CELEBRATES when I go to concerts, and loves to see me happy, especially when he can rave with me :) Thanks for an amazing video, so relatable! Love you!

I’ve been with my boyfriend for 9 months and we’ve been to so many events together this year. We’ve introduced new DJs/Producers to each other and have been to new festivals together. I love that I can share those special moments with him and we can’t wait for EDC next year😍

ooo you put this video out in perfect timing!! I spontaneously got a ticket for edc orlando last night, my boyfriend wants to go, but can't make it. This is gonna be the first festival without him and he's super excited for me but I already know I'm gonna be missing him like crazy. Thank you so much for this!!
