Ever since Jeff Kaplan left Blizzard, the Overwatch team took his work and made it into something that goes against what Kaplan wanted. The public liked Kaplans work and had no problem. New heroes were unlocked as soon as they were released into the game, the events were fun and the loot boxes were an easy way to unlock items or to collect coins to buy those items. This new team is taking Kaplan’s fantastic, easy system and turns it into a money greedy company where you can get the base game for free, but if you want cool skins or play certain events you have to pay your money that you made to live in a house, get food, etc. This is ridiculous Blizzard

I'm a Game Dev / Artist, and my issue is not even the $15 price tag (This is reasonable, it includes 1000 coins OR the BattlePass)... My problem is that all the money we've funneled into the game doesn't even go towards the game, but into pockets... starting with that filthy goblin Bobby Kotick who took a 200Million$ bonus in 2020. Imagine if that money funded the expansion of a dedicated Ow2 PvE team... Instead they underfunded and split 'Team4' in half and making the PvE we wanted 'unfeasible and out of scope'. I hate their ethics, and absolutely loathe that they treat us like we're idiots... bundling $25 - $40 packs with all sorts of garbage 'filler' stuff to appear valuable. Not to mention dropping a 25$ store skin and faking a "30% OFF" discount!!

Take FFXIV for example... They have paid store skins, but they drop very very occasionally / seasonally, and you know the money is going into an extremely dedicated Dev Team. During Endwalker development the composer got cancer... and during the work from home, he continued to compose while bedridden in hospital for around a year, while on chemo, and didn't tell inform anyone but the producer, so the team's morale stayed up. A little extreme work ethic, but his cancer went into the remission, and he said it's only because he had purpose, and the love of the players that he lived. I would absolutely pay 20-25$ for a FFXIV skin for all the love they've put into the game. Blizzard on the other hand continues to disappoint.

The cancelled PVE, the one thing that made this game a sequel, is being replaced by a much smaller scale PVE... that's not an event. You also have to pay for it, *individually*, like a chapter system in a horror game.

All I gotta say… just hire the people who make custom games. I’ve seen some wild ones. I just don’t get why more game companies don’t hire modders and let them work on stuff as a passion project alongside them

We are just paying for stuff we got free in OW1…. Can we just get OW1 back? They promised so much stuff to us players and took away everything that we had and then decided to not give us what they promised AFTER changing everything… I say no one should buy the story packs not even content creators… let them lose money then they might change it

My rule of thumb for buying any game: If you don't get one hour out of the game for each dollar you spent, it's not worth the money. Meaning these 3 missions are ONLY worth my money if they give me at least 15 hours of non repetitive gameplay.

i feel just so crushed by overwatch recently. been playing since beta and i fell in love with the story. hearing that they would do full pve stuff when they revealed ow2 got me so excited. i love this games lore. this freaking sucks but if im honest i might still be buying this pack

Worst part is that for people living in places of the world where the dollar value is high these prices are just astronomically expensive, so yeah, i would rather pay rent

Quick Fact: Fortnite has a pve mode for around the same price which comes with cosmetics that are always good, 1.5K v-bucks which is enough to buy the battlepass and something else 500 or under, and like 20x the amount of content OW2 will have in 5 years.
