Last call for bills; California Legislature deliberates several measures, issues

California lawmakers are using their last day of session to deliberate bills yet to be denied or approved. This last stretch will determine the final list of bills that reach Newsom's desk for a chance at getting signed into law. Tuesday was already a busy day for lawmakers, and the marathon is expected to continue on Wednesday. Legislators gaveled in to start their day in the morning.
