My mom has been an alcoholic for decades. Judge Luann all you want, but speaking from experience, the road to sobriety is life-long. I just hope she's taking it seriously, for her sake and her family's.

As someone who used to work at The Townhouse and loves so many of the current staff and patrons- I find your remarks shameful Andy. I’ve seen you literally crawl into The Cubby Hole obliterated/ everyone knows you live around the corner from there, so riddle me this. Why would you take an adventure all the way to East 58th Street to walk in, stare at everyone for five seconds, including myself, scream “Ew” and run away? Sonja was a great regular who loved and respected our recently departed pianist Rick Unterberg, tipped well, introduced me on the microphone almost weekly when I worked there and even hired him for private events. I would give anything to go back and serve her a Belvedere martini with a twist while she sang Hello Dolly if that meant one more minute with Rick. You have hurt and disgraced an entire community of people and I am bewildered that you get to have the platform you that you do. You did nothing to patronize that place, and showed up to ridicule the patrons who love to sing show tunes, and my God, I hope there’s still a place for you to exist in the community when you’re elderly.

She was also a nurse for many years. She did some voulenter( oops) work too related to health care when the pandemic was really bad. Nice lady and sweet. She's my fave rhony. And so much class.

People who are beautiful, famous and female can get away with anything. Many of those females on the show have been racist, treated staff like shit, talking down to people and bully. For any other it would have severe consequences, not for this gang of people.

It is not DISGUISED as a cabaret. Were the baths DISGUISED as a Las Vegas act when Bette Midler performed there? And why should it be shocking that anyone would want to go or not go to The Townhouse because of it. Not cool to purposefully call out one of the few remaining New York vibe gay bars in the city on national TV. There is enough fascism going on at this time.

Im really over this whole being super vague about luann having an “issue wih alcohol” yet she’s “not an alcoholic” like she never refers to herself actually as an alcoholic, and in fact rejects that. She cleary is one. I dunno its not healthy to keep that door open saying u csn drink again one day, because u never declare that. Unless shes not actually an alcoholic, she should stop making the outbursts about the alcohol. Its gotta be one or the other

There’s a bigger problem than the drinking. Luann thinks she’s better than others. And when she drinks, it comes out more intensely. The way she’s laughing it off shows how much she doesn’t really care.
