Flood resistance is good but hurricane is a bit more than just a flood

pretty sure you're better off on stilts if you're planning for the flood just build something that is fine in a flood, what if the flood isn't catastrophic and you only needed to be half a meter higher? something sailed 4 meters high is just better. that movement is going to destroy the plumbing, sewer, electrical connection, internet, what ever is connected to the house.

plus a stilted house avoids radon and creatures living under your house.

nice idea.. but not applicable to malaysia housing. because if we got flooded the logs are everywhere. that chain 100% gonna breakdown.

put some debris in that water and add a little flow and this windows are gone real quick...

Question, what happened when you try to drain water after a shower by unpluging the drain? will water spew out and sink the house? because it seems the house it not buoyant enough and the water level is higher than the floor, this also means you can't leave by opening the front door to buy supply during flood when the food ran out. It needs to be as buoyant as aboat house, only then can it work practically irl.
