My mother was an 8th double-cousin to the mother of the present Owner, the 8th Earl of Carnarvon, The mother, Jean Margaret Wallop 1935 - 2019), was an American.
Further research has uncovered that every Earl of Carnarvon was a distant cousin to either one of, or both of, my parents. That means the father of the present Owner, was also my multi-cousin.
