A song from 1972 that brings you back to a better time. When songs had meaning and the songs were about good things in life. The ambiance of the 1960's and early 1970's was filled with these songs and reflect the times. The art is the expression of the times. this is what we listened to back then.

Gallery was an American soft rock band of the 1970s. It was formed in Detroit, Michigan by Jim Gold. While Gallery did record a number of songs, they are most famous for their 1972 hit single, "Nice to Be with You", written by Gold. The song was arranged and produced by Dennis Coffey and Mike Theodore and released by Sussex Records, which earned the band a gold record for sales of one million copies. The song reached #4 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.Gallery also had a hit in 1972 with a cover of Mac Davis' "I Believe in Music," which charted moderately well at number 22

With the release of "Nice to be with you" earlier that year, a neat two hit wonder of a band.

The summer of '72! Going from 8th grade into high school. This song was out in early September. HOW I LOVED THOSE DAYS!! God please bring them back! We all got along and things were so optimistic and hopeful! These poor kids these days! They don't have any of that. Thank you all the great artists of my youth! Thank you AM radio for providing a time when you could just turn on the radio and hear one iconic artist after another....across all genres!

the song should be longer to include more photos of all the musicians and singers that made our generation the best in music

I can still remember buying the album shown at the beginning -- 22 hits! I think it might have even been my very first album. This is a great video. A walk down memory lane!

I was in 5th grade, sang in the school choir. This was a song (this version) picked by our teacher which we learned to perform for a show we did. When it came to the part where the synthesizer solo is near the end, we pulled out "slide flutes" (sort of a whistle with a trombone-like attachment that would change the pitch of the whistle as you slid it) and did our best imitation of it!
