hilidac has created the $129 MQA-Supported Beam 2 to unlock every detail of the
original master recording supporting most of today's latest sampling frequencies up to 32bit/384kHz. PCM/DSD/DXD are also supported.

Beam 2 is the first true BAL + Non-BAL dual output USB-C DAC to offer an integrated MQA renderer hardware, allowing it to connect to an MQA Core signal and complete the last unfold step of an MQA file. Beam 2 LED glows magenta to indicate the unit is rendering an MQA file.

Beam 2 comes with the latest ESS ES9281C PRO chip, using the critically acclaimed ESS patented HyperStream○c II QUAD DACTM architecture and Time Domain Jitter Eliminator. This, coupled with a dual OP-AMP configuration, ensures a True Balanced design for the DAC/Amp. It’s also equipped with two ultra-low Femtosecond phase crystal oscillators designed to provide best-in-class audio performance at 118 dB DNR and 0.0003% THD + N. A performance level that will satisfy the most demanding audio enthusiast.
