Let me tell you. We were s-t-r-u-g-g-l-i-n-g with math during our first full year of homeschooling.

As a brand new homeschool mama with one child in first grade, I was so unsure of where to even begin. After watching reviews, I chose some curriculum...that...ended up not working for us at all.

Enter...Math U See (with the help of amazing Amanda from Demme Learning). The rest is...what they call...Math history.

This is our honest review and real life experience (and also our very first vlog about homeschool). I've included the four step learning process from Math U See as well as some inside peeks at the "Alpha" resources we have been using.

I used math use see with my three children and it was the best ever. My children are now in there 20’s. All 3 got to Gama or higher before they when to public school. They never had trouble in math in school.

Had you considered Right Start math prior to MUS ? Just curious as I’m really struggling with my decision.
This was a great video, thank you.

We are doing our first year of homeschool this year. I got a spiral curriculum for math. I'm keeping math u see as a contender if it doesn't work out!

A lot of people thought that they would never homeschool because nobody expected something like this. School in 2019 and prior and school post-Covid are so different.
I know the feeling of math purgatory. I don't have a good relationship with math myself. Basically, I would have loved public school if it hadn't been for the dread of math hanging over my head. It send me to summer school and made me think "What's the point in getting all A's otherwise, math is going to ruin my transcript anyway" :(.
Sometimes I still dream of homeschooling without math...especially because we enjoy unit studies and it's so easy to put in everything from grammar, reading, geography, history, science, character development, even STEM and coding...everything but that dreaded math.
Is MUS still working for you guys?
