Active protection is gonna be a great counter for top attack missiles like what the Chadley brings to the table

Notes on the event: The missile of Hydra/Minotaurs is more of a long range one. What you have as X in these vehicles isn't your APS(since it's always on), it's the automatic targeting for your missiles. It doesn't really work atm, or I haven't found a way to make it work. But if I fire a missile and then activate it while looking at a tank it will follow the most optimal flight path. All vics have APS. The Minotaur has a lovely APFSDS, and armor but it's APS is lacking. The harpy has excellent APS and air missiles. It also gets guided VT shells. They're wack. You fire them and you're free to guide them in whatever direction you want. They're super good, try using them as pure AA, it's a carnage. The hydra is basically a spam fest of atgms with lacking armor and aps. Notice: the missiles for both hydra and minotaur goes vertical for a non-standard amount of time. I've noticed that it changes that time by either your point of aim and/or how long you press the R button. the APS seems to have 2-3 uses on the Minotaur, 1 for the hydra, and smth like 5 for the harpy, so they should defeat that many missiles before they take damage. The IR camo dazzles the homing of most missiles and makes you invisible.

The HE-VT on the Harpy is guided ammunition. The shells work like anti air missiles on high tier spaa. And you can control multiple shells at once :D

If I had to guess, this April Fools event is a testbed for introducing more kinds of APS systems to the game, perhaps bigger maps since there's the D, E and F point here, new mechanics for new air to ground missiles given how they function here and get more advanced as the game goes along, and maybe new levels of armor and high penetrating rounds for very modern tanks. But well just have to wait to see what Gaijin does with their April Fools event here

That invisible fiber optic camouflage only works on the sides not on top because under the tank will be dark so it would just reflect a really dark spot. That's why they're only wrapped on the sides they still haven't figured that out yet which is why it's not being deployed

APS is on by default, when you “activated your APS” you were actually activating a laser designator for the rockets

Don't forget about crew capsule, that represents Armata, the plane represent lasers guide bombs, and the ERA represents active camouflage systems.

The tanks have active armor so it destroys the rounds before they pen so u have to shoot with the machine guns first or shoot the same spot twice

This 2077 stuff needs to stay it’s fun as hell. I enjoyed it for a whole day even though it wasn’t giving any tech tree experience.
