Let's see how the terrain changes in genshin impact version 4.0 compared to genshin 3.8!
In genshin 3.8 it was all mountains and small rivers, but in genshin 4.0 we can see a lot of waterfalls!

They made changes in and around stormterror’s lair too! A small waterbody which seems to be the part of sea appeared towards the North - West of the lair with a tiny island and a tree on it. And the mountains around lair has changed. Might be because of dorman port

This is what i love most about Genshin. Ever since the day the released Dragonspine the map continues to evolve. I cant wait to see it fully completed and i hope they fill out the various gaps between nations as well.

0:43 the scenery of Fontaine uplifted above the "standard" sea level looks awesome & scary at the same time

Sumeru went for a major reforestation effort.
Fontaine was raised from the sea ground,
What's next? Natlan would undergo scorch earth operations.

Normally the difference wouldnt be so jarring but the thing is that Fontane is basically on a massive plateu. So alot of the structures end up higher than places Dragonspire and the mountains in Minlin. Only place you cant see Fontaine is Inazuma, though you might be able to catch a view on the Northmost part of Watatsumi Island. Vice versa, if you climb the mountains in Belleau regiom you basically get a panaoramic view of the whole map (Except for Inazuma). I also reccomend climbing to the top of Sumeru City too for a better view too, you can see how the water flows from the inland lake into Sumeru.

Although the map has been completed and we can now confidently explore all over Fontaine, I'm sure it will still have some bugs that haven't been fixed in time, that's for sure

That inaccessible tower area east of Mont Automnequi looks interesting... I can see it over from stormterrors lair 👀

I will always use Dragonspine as a reference when it comes to how big each version of the Teyvat map is, hence I called it the Dragonspine Benchmark. I determined how wide the land and sea mass it based on sightings of Dragonspine's peak.

Also let us ponder a bit, given now that it's been almost 3 years since Genshin Impact was released, how long it will take for a newcomer to play through all the necessary previous Archon and Story Quest to reach Fontaine, the current region we're playing right now?

I don't understand how is this next to a desert and the water magically stops flowing into the desert. XD
