You should actually get resilient on it for enchant. The reason why is because catching a mythical is hard enough without enchanting resilience, and catching an exotic or secret with the volcanic rod without resilience is impossible, so yes, you should enchant resilience( you can test it out by catching a magma leviathan without resilience, and then do it again but with resilience.

Solution: Merlins luck, resilient enchant (or deep coral bait), seaweed bait for lure speed. and control should be alright aslong as youre not dookie at the game

Not really good if you have heavens rod like me since the mutation is basically the same and the stats on volcanic rod are horrible, the only good thing is the mutation. For beginners it’s good tho
