We look up to the US for our domestic political problems, but the reality is US will never let us thrive counter to their interests which currently align with India's. And China, analysts say is not very friendly either as their power is in hands of communist policies.
We are really in a tough spot. But I would definitely root for China camp as the US has given us nothing except political and economic instability and it has plans to split Pakistan in pieces.

My understanding is global power needs Pakistan and Pak establishment is smartly taking advantage of the situation and bargaining with both super powers and playing their cards smartly not for the sake of Pakistan but for the survival and existence.
