*UPDATE (Nov 2020): This elevator has been modernized by Mitsubishi into ELEMOTION.

This is the first time I saw this kind of Mitsubishi elevator. It looks like some sort of a 1980s-1990s cheap/low end model for low-rise buildings due to its simple and basic appearance. There is no door close button, only a door open button but it has been taken out for some reason. This elevator is said to be rather problematic with its doors.

Didn't manage to go all the way down to level 1, 2 and 3 as there was a security guard sitting right in front of the elevator.

Capacity: 11 Persons/750 kg
Floors served: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 (6 floors)
Year installed: 1984
History: Original. Modernized into Mitsubishi ELEMOTION in 2020.

I believe the Mitsubishi GPX (like the one in Mitra Handiprana) is a sucessor model of this lift.

This was obviously not made by Japan Mitsubishi. The buttons looked like cheap generic.

Ok so basically, Shanghai Tower’s Elevators default speed is 1080m/min but one of the Elevators were modified to have a top speed of 1230m/min possibly for it worlds fastest and showcase Mitsubishi’s engineering knowhow knowing that Hitachi would be building the world’s fastest lift at the Guangzhou CTF Finance Centre with a rated speed of 1200m/min. But in the end, Hitachi claimed back the title in June 2017 by modifying one of their lifts as well to be able to travel at 1260m/min, but unfortunately not many people know this and people still think Shanghai Tower still has the worlds fastest lifts. This is not really fair because it’s not giving Hitachi the recognition it deserves and instead it goes to Mitsubishi.
Btw thanks for uploading the video of that cheap looking Mitsubishi lift you were telling me earlier

Hi just checking, are you able to see my comments on JimLi’s video about the Taipei 101 lifts? Because when I sign out of my channel I cannot see it, perhaps it might have been marked as spam? Anyways it was talking about how the Guangzhou CTF Finance centre has the fastest lift in the world and not by Shanghai Tower
