The Most Realistic Humanoid Robots in The World

It's all too easy to think of robots as a far-off prediction. Despite more than a century of books, films, and TV shows depicting mechanical automatons helping or hunting humanity, we're programmed to think of robots as something futuristic. Something forever distant.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

In the past two decades, rapid advancements in machine intelligence and robotics have developed a growing group of frighteningly humanoid robots. More than robotics arms on a production line, these robots are at the cutting edge of what we've capable off – and a sure sign of things to come.

In this video, I'll explore five of the most realistic humanoid robots in the world, discovering if we're on the precipice of a new robotic age.

I'm shocked Mark Zuckerberg wasn't on the top of the list of most humanoid robots.

Ameca is the most realistic robot ever seen ...she even blinks her eyes. Her voice sounds human, and her comments and ability to hold a conversation are amazing! Yes, I do believe robots will take over many, many jobs in the near future...one big reason being, they will show up for work each day after they are "hired to do a job."

In 1973 a movie call ‘West World’ was released. Humanoid robots malfunctioned then became evil. Yul Brynner’s performance in that movie made me terrified of robots to this day.

The Elon Musk robot, looks remarkably like a person dressed in a costume. 🤣🤣🤣

it is like seeing a scary movie, can't imagine our future, might be so dark.

I think things that sort of look human are creepy. Just make them look like robots (like Atlas), we have enough people looking things running around.

Just as always, whatever they're showing us is probably decades behind what they're capable of.

There's really no need to build robots that look like humans. If they're going to be servants they should be simple looking, easily identified as robots.

Imagine if all the creators came together to make 1 robot with the ability of all the robots 😮

Small things like the lack of movement in the lips and jowels, stiff areas of the brows, or the eyes not fully blinking are all things I notice that make a lot of these robots less "human."
Usually it's the eyes and mouth that give it away and make them unsettling to me.

Cyberdyne Systems is the tech corporation responsible for the development of Skynet.
Skynet, a network of supercomputers that employed artificial intelligence in order to replace human beings as commercial and military aircraft pilots, and for the control of other military systems, including nuclear missiles.
The system went online and Skynet became self-aware.
In a panic, its creators attempted to shut it down, but Skynet retaliated by launching a nuclear attack against Russia, knowing that the Russian counterattack would eliminate its enemies in the United States, initiating an indeterminately long period of global warfare. The battle pitted humans against Cyberdyne machines, which developed ever-increasing capabilities.
Although the company was presumably shut down or destroyed, the event was later known as Judgment Day.

Very scarry project and hope that it won't turn on us in the future.

There is a certain threshold of realism that once crossed is perceived as creepy by most people. The super realistic looking humanoid bots look great, but just aren't quite like the real thing, making them unsettling. Whereas the cuter robots, clearly robots, tend to make people feel more comfortable to be around.

The people saying it took them a few days to get used to are politely saying "that shit creeps me out".

Atlas though, looks dope!

I have to say I agree 100% with those saying that making robots look near-identical to humans is pointless and counterproductive. It’s creepy, it puts people off and serves no real purpose. Robots that are sleek, cute and unapologetically mechanical will win every time. For example, I’d happily have an Anki Cozmo robot in my house, but if “Nadine” was in the same building as me I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night!

Why do they insist on making these machines look like people? Believe me there is an evil reason behind this.

It may take a lot of jobs away from a world that is increasing in population Seems frightening

these robots might start out as "servants" if they lack sentience, but at what point do they stop being servants/slaves and start becoming a race of their own, in the words of Captain Jean-luc Picard in The next Generations episode "Measure of a man" "won't we be judged for how we treat that race" Anyone who has watched Star Trek will know that Data an android started with no rights at all (seen as property, not a person, Voyagers Doctor went through the same process), seen as nothing more than another piece of tech that humans can use as another tool. Also Mass Effect game, EDI built up a friendship with everyone on the crew, she became more human the more time she spent with the crew of the Normandy (i'm sure Joker helped a lot with this), (yes i absolutely hated getting what is considered a perfect game, because it meant that EDI and Legion both died all because we had to destroy the reapers to get the cut-scene of Sheppard taking a breath, proving he is alive" but my point is, I don't want us to turn into the Quarians, We make robots to make our lives easier and then when they reach sentience we try to annihilate them or vise versa. Data had a fascination with human behaviour, EDI had a curiosity about humans and wanted to learn, and Legion saw Sheppard as a friend and even had the ability to speak English unlike all other Geth, If we make these robots/android only to turn against them or force them to turn against us, it will be a huge, huge shame. after all, we can't even get on with out own species let alone creating another as a race of "tools". if you haven't watched "Measure of a man" I'd highly suggest it, it has some very interesting points and an intriguing episode.

This is incredible work. There's something about the "Duchenne smile" that they need to correct if they want these bots to pass the Turing test. I'm still getting uncanny valley vibes! Still love it though.

Can't even make a robot vacuum cleaner that works consistently.

If they all worked together, we would see humanoid robots in no time.
