We're getting a Menard's here in Paducah, KY! We usually go to Evansville, IN, Marion, IL, or Cape Girardeau, MO. Menard's is the ultimate men's store. One can pick up coffee, milk, a shower curtain, some lumber, a hammer, and some Tide, all under one roof.

When Home Depot came to Duluth, MN I thought they were going to be serious competition for Menards. I couldn't have been more wrong. I shopped Home Depot many times, and every time their customer service was lousy. I called to check on the stock of a item (a garage door), was told they had it, so headed to the store a 1/2 hour away to pick it up. I waited 25 minutes for someone to help me, to be told that's not a item we stock. Another time I needed 50 ft of wire for a welder outlet, waited 45 minutes while the employee was helping some other couple decide on outlet cover colors, seriously! I even asked if someone else could spare 2 minutes to cut the wire so I could be on my way. I was told no, you'll have to wait... I've given Home Depot more than a fair shot at my business, and they have failed in every way.

I have had all the Master Force 18v/20v tools for last 7 years or so, with good success. I do handiman work and lawn care for a living, and they are all holding up well. Thumbs up!

I absolutely love menards. i work for my dad who owns an electrical contracting business and we buy 90% of our material from menards. Their prices are way cheaper than lower and Home Depot for the same product! AND at least once a month they will do an 11% rebate on everything in the store that last about a week long. Menards is an amazing company and I can almost guarantee you that they will be getting much larger in the next coming years.

I live in Michigan and sometimes shop at Menards. If you go there on on Black Friday from 6 to noon, expect very long lines to check out and difficulty getting a shopping cart. They also like to do mail in rebates which are a pain (and why other stores have quit using them).

Menards just started carrying craftsman. I have Menards, Home Depot and Harbor Freight all within ten minutes from home!

Not sure if this comment was done before but they have a ton of them throughout Kansas also they keep expanding every year. The Kansas City area alone Missouri side and Kansas side as at least six locations

I love Menards. Their slogan 'Save more money at Menards' is true to some degree. I was looking for a hood to put over our stove that had a fan and a light. I found one at Home Depot for $79.99, after a little more research I found the same one at Menards for $39.99. I wish they were closer to my home in Canton, Ohio as the closest one is about 10 miles from here south of Massillon, Ohio. Home Depot and Lowes are 5 miles from here up in North Canton, Ohio. Still, the extra 10 miles round trip to Menards is worth it.

Love Menards. Live an hour from Eau Claire, Wisconsin, the home of Menards. There 3 or 4 times a month. Great plumbing and electrical departments and always check out the food section. It's small, but often have great deals.

I have to tell you that I love my Blackstone Flat-top griddle. I have almost exclusively moved to that and have left my grille to catch dust in the back yard. I have the "Tail-gaiter" model which is a 17" griddle and a 17" grille. I use the grille side to hold items while I cook on the flat top. Burgers, Steaks, Carne Asada, Pancakes and just about anything else you could think of...

There is a reason that Menards is able to offer significant deals and I believe it is because most of the savings on any particular item will come in the form of a rebate. Additionally, the rebates are in-store credits that can only be redeemed via the purchase of other items, instead of checks that can be cashed and spent elsewhere. By forcing you to spend the discount in their store, they eventually end up with all of the money anyway.
