I am so glad I found your channel. I have been binge watching it the past two days. I am pleased to see even though I do not get all of the tech information watching it a few times it sinks in better. I am the only one in my family interested in solar and power stations so to have acces as a female to learn it on my own, I am very grateful to this information especially with my limited knowledge. I had thought watching some previous channels "is it possible to be selfreliant and use your vehicles battery to charge a portable power source particularly during power outages or potential serious grid issues when you cant use your home to recharge and may not be able to rely on the sun even if you have a solar set up. Delighted to see I was correct and that I now have the information on the device I need to make that work. Thank you. Looking forward to watching more of your content videos.

Love to see you review this, it goes well with your prior Pecron reviews which made me decide to buy a Pecron e1500LFP. I bought one of these 3 months ago, works great!
(Wish you tested with a 12v, actually hooked up to car alternator/battery, which I think is it's main use, but this is still great!)

The Pecron DC-DC charger is a literal game changer. I use a Bluetti AC200MAX and their PV420 panel on a 27" Bayliner V8 cruiser, basically a big floating RV. With the boat plugged in to the MAX's RV outlet, every amenity onboard works like it's hooked to shore power constantly everywhere we go. Running the devices and whatever else it doesn't matter, I can last 12-16 hours easy on just the MAX, and with good sun I can go most of a weekend no worries. Now I basically DOUBLE my charging with the Pecron charger/off the alternator while we're cruising around, which is often half the time we're on the water or more anyway, and I hardly even need to think about electricity at all. Note since this all hooks up like two sets of solar inputs, I also needed the Bluetti Charge Enhancer to make two inputs work at the same time, but even the panel/the SCE/and the Pecron combined cost less than Ecoflow is asking for their charger (plus I already had the AC200MAX, 420W panel, and solar charge enhancer so the ecoflow was a no-go for me anyway).

I never get a full 500w from the Pecron, I suspect a higher output alternator would probably help, and I never get the full 420W from the solar either (far from the best panel for my current use to be honest), however it's still a VERY strong setup. I would like to get something simpler, even semi-permanent panel(s) wise, but I figure the next thing is probably a B230 expansion battery, and/or swap out the two onboard 12v lead batteries for LiFePO4 Always some project to do on a boat as they say, and none of it is exactly cheap, but this Pecron has turned out to be the real bargain and missing link in the whole thing. I don't even have to mess with the solar panel on a lot of our trips anymore (I've flat forgotten to set it up a few times), and all I really HAVE to do is relax and goof off with the wife & critters, that's a win in my book.

Pecron continues to impress with a universally useful product. Mostly use my Pecron at home, but this looks like a useful thing to have for emergency backup

I purchased and installed one of these for my Bronco well before Ecoflow introduced their unit! I almost switched to the Eco unit until i saw the price and realized that my Delta 2 solar input specs were: 11-60V, 15A, 500W max! This unit is perfect for me!

Would be nice to see a video on installing this on a car or RV.

I ordered 2 of these last week and they are being delivered today. I think they will be a great way to charge my E3600 power banks. ONe of the main reasons I ordered it is that my 400 on board built in inverter does not supply a pure syne wave signal so my power banks won't recognize it to recharge. I was forced to use a old Bluetti 200 watt brick style charge that cleaned up the syne wave and would allow me to charge at 200 watts.

Great video and nice product. 2 years ago I rigged up a 12v to 48vdc converter to supplement my Delta Pro via xt60i port. Would get 720w. But I always had to keep an eye on my battery at idle. With this I can set battery protection voltage. Thanks!

Pecron makes great products . I have two of the LFP 2000s and the 600lfp. The charging brick for the 600 lfp went bad. I contacted them and they gave me the run around. They state that they have 2 sets customer service teams. One Amazon and one for their pecron site. Both sides ignored my requests to get the charging brick warranty exchange.

Like I said pecron makes great products but the customer service is non existent. Unless they see bad comments publicly on YouTube or other outlets about thier customer service all the sudden they want to help. That is the pattern we can all see. Definitely a buy at your own risk brand.

I’m adding this to my list! I bought a portable gas generator ($500) as a backup/charger for my solar generator. It would be nice to have another option to idle a car, which is quieter and typically less smellier than running a gas generator!

Thank you for the review.

One note about connecting this to a vehicle.

Some alternators depending on make and model barely produce enough current to run the vehicle and charge the battery at the same time at idle.
Usually the battery charging does not occur except when actually driving at speed.

Adding this onto the system could cause a voltage drop while idling.
When this happens most vehicles will make up for the lack of electricity by drawing from the battery.

An extended idle time while using this device could drain the battery of the vehicle.

Vehicle batteries tend to be variations of lead acid which can be damaged by excessive discharge.

Test this with your vehicle before trusting it in the field.

I've always wondered if just a regular aoutomotive power inverter would work just as well for this application?

Thank you for the video. I have Ecoflow Deltas and bought this over their product to charge. I was tired of using the 12v cig connector. We use it all the time, when my wife goes shopping, she has a portable fridge connected to the ecoflow. I made 2 other cables so it can be used in multiple vehicles.

Just make sure your alternator is at least 2 times the Amperage of the input Amperage of the DC-to-DC Charger. Otherwise bad things can happen to your alternator.

The other option is a DC-to-DC Conveter. You can easily get 400W chargering that way with the Victron DC-to-DC Converter.

500w is going to be about 40amp extra load on your alternator - it should be ok on alternators over 90amp

ooh. Ive been debating between an Ecoflow Delta 3 paired with the Ecoflow 800w and the pecron 1500LFP. this makes the pecron more attractive for just about the same price with more capacity. additionally it should be pretty easy to customize the cable run to make it into my truck camper behind the truck cab
