Показать описание
A group of Giant hornets (Vespa mandarinia) is attacking the Western honeybee (Apis mellifera) hive. Several Giant hornets are constantly stationed in front of the hive entrance. Perhaps the honeybees were trying to go out to collect nectar and pollen. A Western honeybee burst out of the hive but was immediately caught by a Giant hornet.

I couldn't just stand there and just watch my Bees get slaughtered.

I actually always wondered if the apimae hives would do well in Japan since the entrances are so small

Given the steel protection. Would it be easier for bees to fight within a second chamber outside the steel. So a small connected hive the hornets could attack, but no serious harm to hive and easy to defend. Bees might have an advantage, too.
