In the demo, we simulated the impact of a SP failure on applications, we removed one of the two SPs from the VNX5300 (SPB). As a result, all LUNs that were previously owned by SPB automatically transferred to SPA and none of the services were interrupted during this SP failure event. When the SPB was brought back online, all of the LUNs that transferred from SPB to SPA returned from SPA back to SPB automatically.


We also leveraged EMC System Center Management Packs to monitor the storage arrays in the entire environment and infrastructure.
