A bit of a strange fight. It input reads you, so any time you do a light or start a heavy attack within a radius of the boss, it'll start an attack of its own. Which can both work for and against you. If you try to do multiple combos while in melee range, it'll nearly always counterattack you, making it a little unsafe to do so. Additionally, the moment you press the heavy attack within range of the boss, it'll counter you before you get the animation off. On the flipside, if you only weave in for an attack or two, it makes the boss incredibly easy and predictable to deal with. Especially so in the second phase. So this shows the safest way to do it.

Black Myth: Wukong is an action RPG rooted in Chinese mythology. The story is based on Journey to the West, one of the Four Great Classical Novels of Chinese literature. You shall set out as the Destined One to venture into the challenges and marvels ahead, to uncover the obscured truth beneath the veil of a glorious legend from the past.

I won't lie, all i could pay attention to during that whole fight was the physics of the water moving around.

No joke your gameplay has helped me to win the fight. I think the takeaway here is you need to keep the distance. If you time your dodge right the dude will miss and you'll be able to do a few hits before escaping.

How do you have that red armour? I’m still with the first white tunic thingy.
Besides the perfect dodging, the key thing here is that you are dodging forward right next to him when he is charging at you so you can do a few hits in the back - over and over. I always dodge backwards or sideways getting too far to reach him. Thanks for the tip! I might be able to beat him after 2 days and a complete mental breakdown 😂

thank you man, it took me a few tries after watching this but this helped a great deal. youve just got to stay out of his range and wait for those one or 2 seconds after he jabs at you to get some licks in. patience is key here, you wont do this battle fast. and for anyone whining about "difficulty settings" just get good, and stay away from Elden Ring 😂
