Mom of 3 Murdered on Hiking Trail in Broad Daylight! The Case of Kathleen Loreck | True Crime Story

With the recent news of Rachel Morin, mother of 5 killed on a hiking trail, this case has haunting similarities to that UNSOLVED case. Kathleen Loreck who was known as Kathy to those closest to her went on a lunchtime walk while talking on the phone with her husband. She never returned from work. This is her story.

This is really scary due to the fact that I used to always walk trails with my pup. One time there was a man who was on his phone or pretending to be on his phone, wearing jeans and shades but there was no sun out. I did two rounds around the trail and he was always there staring at us. Second time walking past him he said “you shouldn’t walk here alone.”
Never went back…

When I hear ppl say "it's not safe for women to do a, b, & c alone I think people forget not everyone has family or friends. Not everyone has a support system. Some people DO have to do things alone or hide in their home forever. Which is why crimes like this need to stop instead of expecting women to hide away in the homes. It's a privlage to have ppl able to be with you at all times. Many of us do not have that. Idk just a thought I was thinking while watching.

I was followed on a trail, that is popular by the way, and I look nothing like the victim. Thank goodness for a couple that I met on the way, I walked with them. When I looked back the creep was gone.

There was a time when I just watched only the first few minutes of Kimbyr's videos (or just her shorts) because the videos are so long and I felt I just didnt have the time ... but now I find I can't stop listening to the videos once I start, because her storytelling skills are so good. So now I play the videos as I am doing housework or laundry. She also tells the stories with such love and compassion for the victims of these stories that it feels like their memories will live forever. Yesterday my husband was on TV about his missing sister since 2000. Williamston, SC Billie Joe Bean Hughes. They finally have 2 people of interest. She's on YouTube, Fox News yesterday. Please ladies this could be anyone anytime, me, you, trust me it's hard. God bless and prayers they will find her and closure of a sense can come. I used to love hiking alone. It was such a nice experience to be in nature and clear my head. A couple years ago I was on a trail by myself and felt the was being followed. It was an older, middle aged gentleman and I tried to get him to pass me and go in front of me several times but he wouldn’t. Every time I stopped to look at something, he stopped. I do not know his intentions, and thankfully nothing happened. I was so creeped out I’ve never been on a trail alone again. It’s a sad and scary world we live in. Stay safe everyone 💕

One of the first things my mom taught me about safety when I was a teenager was to never follow a predictive routine. I used to walk home from school every day and she would always suggest me to take different paths; to hang back a few minutes and to change the pace to vary the time I would be reaching home.

Sadly, being born female, we are a target to be a victim our whole lives! I was molested as a child by a relative, sexually harassed growing up by my brother's friends and put in a really bad situation that could have ended much worse, trying to be nice and give someone " A ride to the gas station down the street". Be careful out there ladies. This world is NOT a safe place for us, or young girls! Protect your daughters, sisters, mothers as well! Never put a boyfriend or new husband before your children, grandchildren, etc Be careful who you trust!!!

Rachel’s recent case got so much coverage but not much was mentioned regarding this case so thank you for covering it so well. Truly heartbreaking and terrifying. Please be careful when walking on trails. While I understand the link authorities made to John, it’s so sad to see what his family had to go through to clear his name during their time of grieving. BTW did anyone else also close their eyes to envision the red apple? I’ve never heard of Aphantasia, so interesting.
