A great day out in Omodos, wine lovers will enjoy spending time in this pretty village. The monastery of the holy cross is lovely to see, I wasn’t able to film inside the actual church but if you visit I recommend visiting it.
Walking around the village you will find many shops owned by local wineries who are happy for you to sample before deciding if you would like to purchase something.
The village has many places to eat and drink and some beautifully restored buildings that are now tourism accommodation.
KTIMA VASSILIADES ( OENOU YI ) was a 5 minute drive from the village center. Wine tasting and tours are available Monday - Sunday 10.00am - 18.00 ( last tour at 17.00 ) the restaurant is open Friday and Saturday 12.00 - 16.00 & 19.00 - 22.00 and Sunday 12.00 - 16.00 last orders are 30 minutes before closing, I would recommend booking.
