Per requests, I have figured out and I am including Amazon Links to the parts I used, they cost you no more and I make a tiny amount. I hope that helps you out trying to find what I used. Best of Luck! -Old School

You always make it look like a job anyone could tackle when you do these how to videos! I'm no mechanic by any means and I've learned my limitations on what jobs I can accomplish lol. It's amazing that a $55 dollar carb works so well! I'd venture to say a lot of folks would bypass it thinking it must be junk for that price. Loved the video! Keep wrenching, ride when the weather permits(it's down in the low 20's at night where I live in SC), and stay safe!

I installed a CV on my brothers Ironhead 20 yrs ago and have recommended to friends. Funny thing was I swapped the S&S E from my Shovelhead and CV from my EVO Sportster with Buell top and both run way better. The CV has WAY better gas milage and response especially on low speeds without that annoying hiccup some carbs produce.

Great video as always! For the guys without a press that adaptor could probably be shrink fitted. You probably know the old school trick of placing the body (minus the rubbers) into the freezer and heating the adaptor with a gas flame until a smudge of dishwashing liquid has turned brown, they'll have a few seconds to correct the fit... I had to make a whole new backing plate to fit a standard filter cover to my aftermarket carb, I personally like the idea of having standard covers hiding an improved carb and air filter combo!

Well that sure is a lot better price for that adapter than the other ones I've been finding on eBay or Amazon. there like 25 or 35 bucks but they are designed different.. glad I caught your video, I might order one of those, I've got Bendix carburetors in my shovels ..I like them but I've always thought about putting one of my CV carburetors, I have quite a few of them that I picked up over the years. off people would take off when they had the S&S carburetor and thought that was much better. So I might give it a try.. thanks for the video..✌🏼

Love your videos and the fact that you’re in my old stomping grounds. I lived in Elkhart for 25 plus years as a welder. Keep up the good work.

Years ago, I put a CV carb on my shovelhead. Big difference in performance. Got rid of the "cough" at idle and accelerated better.

The old original M74 carb I ran on my 54 KHK was solid brass—never had an issue.

In your video from 3 months ago "Installing a $59 Knock Off CV Carb On a Softail Just for Fun" are you installing the same carb as in this one you are giving the link to? Im asking because the price is different and I would love to try swapping my old HSR with a CV on my 1994 Heritage. Thank you.

So, it's been about 6 months since this video was posted. Is that carb still running good? I watched another of your videos where you installed this carb on an EVO. How's that one doing?

I forgot to ask when you press that adapter on you put any type of permanent sealant so you don't have any air leaks.
