How to Make a Hoverfly Lagoon

I love to make habitats for wildlife. This simple garden craft helps to encourage biodiversity wherever you are, and is ideal for gardens, balconies, community allotments and most outdoor spaces. And it's free to make.

A lovely activity for all ages. Remember to keep your lagoons topped up with water if the weather is very dry.

The sounds of the birds is lovely... we've missed that the last 2 weeks.

Great! Love the ceramic containers as they don’t leach micro plastics. I wonder how big they can be? If using plastic always transfer into a new one every so often. Would love to know why the leaves and grass have to be dry if you are just going to pour water on them ?

I'll look up, what "hoverflies" means in German. From the context, I'd guess "Florfliegen".
I hope, you're doing good (in other words: I wish you this).
