SixBlindKids - Obed Recovering From An Autism Meltdown/Tantrum

Obed, who is 13 years old, and was born blind without eyes, and has cerebral palsy and severe intellectual disabilities as well as autism, sometimes has autistic meltdowns and tantrums. Sometimes he exhibits self-injurious behaviors such as head banging during these meltdowns. Mom and Bethany get him calmed down and redirected here with some love, hugs, and some techniques, such as counting, and giving him drinks of water.

A little bit of a loving touch and a soothing voice goes a long way!

Bethany is such a SAINT. She's such a genuinely caring soul. Has she ever thought of working at a nursing home? I think it would be a perfect fit. She's so patient and gentle and compassionate. There are so many people out there that need that kind of love.

Oh, poor Obed, it must be hard on becoming a teenager, and having all the normal hormones charging through, with being able to talk and made his needs known. Beautiful loving between mom and Bethany, who is just the person to help mom in these situations, mom and dad you have done such a good job on raising all your kids.

Just wanted to thank you for your channel! I'm sick of all the dramatic crap going on on YouTube, and when it seems to swallow me, I always know what channel to come to! So glad Obed has such an amazing, kind family who can help him in hard times like these. Autism can be hard, but I'm sure having some support can mean a lot!
