These little concertos are so elegant and charming, I love the way J C Bach creates such beautiful melodies that just seem so effortless!

Always love JC. He had such a great career. Everywhere he went people loved him and his music. When he was in Italy as a young man he was appointed to the prestigious post as organist at the massive Milan Cathedral. But of course his big stop was London, where he had such great success. Music master to the royal family, packed concerts for years with Carl Abel, and exceptionally popular Operas, not to mention his mentorship of Mozart. George III was so impressed by Bach's opera Carrattaco that he requested a special performance just for him and the young Prince of Wales to introduce his son to such wonderful music and the idea of noble kingship as was represented in the opera. He also had great success at Mannheim where his opera Temistocles was performed for the King's name day. Apparently they used over 30, 000 candles that night. It must have been really something to see and hear.

J.C. Bach is one of the underrated composers of classical era... probably because of the shadow of his great father. And of course viennese piano sounds so warm and nice, just how it was used to sound back then

Sometimes i think this music is just as difficult to pull off as pretty much anything. which they did, its just really subtle like a great actor

Hi all,

I highly recommend researching the concept of A = 432 Hz and using the free program Audacity to convert music from A = 440 to A = 432 Hz. You will be amazed at the difference!!

To convert using Audacity:
1. Import a music file.
2. Press Ctrl + a (at the same time).
3. On the top bar, click Effect > Change Pitch
4. Under "Frequency", change "from" to 440, and change "to" to 432. Hit OK.
5. Press Ctrl + Shift + e (at the same time).

If a piece is not originally tuned to A = 440 Hz, simply type in the original tuning in the "from" section in place of the "440" mentioned above.
