The US is just as dangerous 😂 what do people not get about this? Every country has dangerous areas. Thank you for not fear mongering about it

Absolutely not. A friend of mine went this summer (2022) for the first time to visit extended family. He was almost lured away by a woman in "distress" asking him for help. His grandfather intervened and told him to follow him. They got in his grandfathers truck, he drove in the opposite direction around the building they watched her turn into on foot. She was with three men by a van no longer in distress, chatting with them. Rude awakening for him.

As a Mexican guy I can't stress how dangerous my county is . I'm not going to go into types of things but a young woman is a target for alot of bad things. Only needs to happen once . Like swimming with sharks . You only need one bad day.

I suppose that's why when you go on an all inclusive vacation in Mexico the hotel tells you do not leave the property ever.

The pinned comment says thank u for not fear mongering and the one right below it says, “this is a terrible idea as a Mexican woman I fear for your safety” 😂

"You do not have to fear for your safety"
Also: "print copies of stuff because the cops will demand money to get them back".
Nah I think I'm good.

Reading this comment section gave me full body goosebumps. I'm so grateful you aren't alone. I love your personality so much... my heart would break if something bad happened to you and your light and I'm a relatively new subscriber. Poor families...

as a hispanic woman who regularly travels to mexico. i’m telling you please don’t be telling people its 99% safe. the cartel run the cities there. if you don’t speak spanish or if you look like a nonnative you will get taken advantage of. (i have fair skin and speak spanish and people STILL try and take advantage of me) yes it’s dangerous everywhere. but in mexico once you’re gone, you’re gone there’s no way of finding you.

About 10 years ago, I had some friends traveling through Mexico on their vacation. Bandits came out of nowhere and blocked the road and robbed about four cars including my friend of all their money and credit cards and anything of value. Nobody was hurt but I'm sure many of them were going to be stranded in that lovely freaking country.

This is a terrible idea. As a mexican woman I fear for you safety. Specially in border states (human traffic, drug cartels, etc, etc). Mexican highways are so very dangerous. People have been killed in horrible ways while traveling.

Please take this warning seriously.

My family is from Mexico. My dads hometown is constantly in the news for cartel activity. All of my family members who came from Mexico have stories of the cartel and their violence. My grandmother used to travel there to visit family but stopped when the bus she was in was pulled over by armed cartel who robbed them and kidnapped all the young men. Luckily they later escaped but she decided to never travel there again. Both my parents have stories of entire ranches and families being blackmailed to pay protection money or they were all killed. Even the ranch hands were killed and their heads put on spikes as a warning to others. But sure listen to the foreigner who visited Mexico instead of the people from Mexico who were raised there and still have family there. I will stay in America were we can still have guns so at least I can defend myself.

Mexico is not safe. My finance grandma was traveling to visit the family in the US. She was kidnapped on her way to the airport, they stole their car and money and were dropped off in the middle of nowhere. And they’re from Mexico SOOO

We didn’t need all this information back in my 20s when we were going to Mexico, but I am pleased that you are out here helping young women that need these tips today. #safetravels

I’m going to be real traveling by yourself as a white women in Mexico is a horrible idea and this is coming from a Mexican women. So many of the comments saying to be careful or just not travel are coming from your Hispanic audience. If you want a fun quirky adventure go to Europe. Don’t be stupid and jump into a country where you may not even know the language. Please be careful. Play stupid games and win stupid prizes. Mexico can be lovely but if you don’t know the language don’t go. You will be scammed. Even Mexicans with American accents are scammed. Be careful.

To all of the people who are saying not to travel to Mexico because you're from there and it's dangerous... I hope you are doing well and you are currently safe.

Just don’t die while you’re there. My stepmom had to pay over 10K to have stepbrother’s body released after Baja fatal car wreck
