The window was broken on my bus once. Every time we hit a bump, the alarm would go off. We looked ridiculous, closing the window over and over.

One time I had a bus driver who would actually use the back door to load stuff in and clean the bus.

the buses we had were so old that the handles were on bottom of window like the 90s/80s busses

This one time I fell asleep on the bus and happened to be sitting in one of the emergency exit seats and apparently accidentally pulled the lever slightly and got woken up by the noise and wondering why everyone was wondering where it was coming from I just pushed the lever back and it stopped lol 😆 🙃

I remember the buzzing from bus safety drills. But they never sounded like this tho

I remember in the older buses we had one seat that folded up to get out of the side emergency door

One time in the afternoon, there was a white van behind our bus and I yelled “it’s a free candy van” and then a bunch of third graders started piling on the window and then eventually this one kid named Caiden open the window while on a state hwy main road

I had training courses as an EMT on how to help evacuate school buses. I always wanted to open the roof escape hatch to see what would happen. When the back door was opened, a muted long buzzer that sounded like a 1930's cartoon doorbell went off.

My favorite part of living on a dirt road and riding the bus was the window levers would always open due to the bumps

I was going to school one day (5th grade) and some kid didn't want to go since we had a quiz that day, so he decided to open the rear door and hop out while the bus stopped at a red light. I think he got in trouble for that but I'm not sure

The buses I grew up riding didn't sound the alarm when you open the back door. Rode with one kid who would jump out the back at his stop all the time.
