I have this same mower. I'm on my second season and i love it. I baught it, because it looked like the front wheels and deck were built stronger than the others brands I compaired with. The pulley system is the most simple of all others I compaired with. I have abused this machine in cleaning up my three acre wooded hilly property. I have had to put on two blade belts because of running into heavy brush and getting big sticks over the deck. This machine has been awesome.
A trick to changing the deck belt. Use a ratchet strap and go under the back and hook into the tension pulley, hook other end on back center and ratchet to pull the pulley back. When the machine is hot I use a small short chain with one hook to hang on the back to hook the ratchet strap into. This allows you to clear the hot exhaust and not burn the strap. Piece of cake, easy. I'm a retired heavy equipment mechanic and in my decision to buy this machine was simple design equals easy to repair. It is built heavy duty. Great reputation of everyone that had them. I had to have a roll bar, because of all the capers I have pulled down through the years it just makes sense. I would not buy one of these machines of any brand with out a roll bar.

I have an bad boy elite, I got the Kawasaki engine, very good mower,
Only issue the hr meter quite working, cost about $50 bucks,
I have the 54” deck and I took that rubber Shute deflector off, currently have the Shute blocker to chop leaves,
It’s a loud mower but I always wear ear protection,

Put some grip tape on top of the deck to help keep you from slipping

What's your thoughts on the Kohler motor have you had any trouble out of it or does it run perfect

Camera could be put there right way otherwise great review. Interesting hearing non-pro reviews for machines. Something like this should last practically forever for personal use.

Tires tear up to much grass for me. Non greasable spindles stink. Fuel tank to small for a big deck mower. Kawasaki 27hp is a beast of a motor. Very stout machine. Nice transmission. Deck is very durable too. 7 out of 10 for me.
