The scariest situations in a steel mill

It's one of the scariest accidents to happen in a steel mill. Called 'cobbling', it happens when hot steel is being made into coiled rebar, does not pass through the rollers properly In order to shape the steel into the desired shape, it must pass through a rolling mill that presses it under tremendous pressure,
and if something goes wrong, it's thrown off course and fired, causing a frenzy of hot steel to whip through the plant like a live snake. It happens in a split second, so workers in the vicinity must wear protective clothing, or they could be killed in a horrific accident. It's been 35 years since we've had a 45-day cobble-free period, it must be pretty common.
