How strong is Daima Goku?!

Daima takes place 2-3 months after buu saga since it's said in the first episode that earth's db used only 2 wishes recently and also trunks is 8 in buu saga and in daima he turns 9. So basically Goku is as strong as end of kid buu fight or might be slight powerful

There is a big difference between GT and Daima wish. In GT it was to make Goku the same size a Pilaf, but in Daima he wished to change them into children, specifically first graders.
It will depend how exactly Shenron interrupts the wish. Is it a reversion, so turning backing time for them or is it changing them into children. If the former had the strength of them at about 7, which, for all put, would have made Vegita very weak, However I doubt this because Piccolo was changed too and he was nearly fully grown within 2 years.
We will have to wait and see.

Probably the reason why the story is in the middle of dbz and dbs' timeline is that dragon ball daima transitions dbz to dbs in a more accurate way, considering that dbs' goku seems to be more childish than dbz for some reason, dragon ball daima might give us an answer to the unusual difference between dbz and dbs.

The thing about Daima is that, very explicitly, the reason the wish was made in the first place was to significantly weaken their power and to make them "harmless", so it's definitely significantly different than GT.

Considering everyone there is like 7, I'm assuming it reduces their strength to that which it was when they were 7, meaning Daima Goku should be significantly weaker than any other Goku in the franchise without transformations.

They said themselves it occurs right after the Buu saga so they're weaker than super characters the most were probably going to see is a super Saiyan 3 mini version just like GT

Goku didnt even know that other transformations after 3 even existed. Now that hes a kid again with all the past knowledge, if he survives this saga than i can see him getting much stronger

Maybe we would have a new transformation like ssj4, but in the sense of making Goku an adult again, and I say this bc in the series, we see how the energy manifests on the body, with forms like 2th grade super saiyan expands muscles, the ssj3 makes the hair grow and Broly's power makes him giant.

Personally, I don't think this might be the case, but I just say that if it happens, it wouldn't be weird or impossible

Odd, curious if anyone else is wondering if this is just another GT?

Didn't mind GT completely, but didn't care for the reverting back to kids form it really just doesn't help much other than for added filler and time to come up with something else to bring out for super or something better than super.

OH, that's it.. it's, i suppose it's a way to hit a sort of "reset button" on the characters, but still bring back a really weird version of the original dragon ball, but the biggest issue with that is how long is this going to be drawn out for cause the kid form will become a literal snooze fest sooner than later.

I just came to that realization after seeing how they made sure to add: "also their friends too" when turning them back to kids with a wish cause last time in GT it as just Goku, but now it's almost everyone. This honestly may make it easier for Gotenks cause they'd literally be used to it and they probably would get a buff most likely.

The big issue is we just got Beast form & Orange Piccolo in only a movie so really this Daima just rolls things too far back for me to enjoy it.

As a person that grew up with all these, including the manga, it just isn't sitting right and clearly tells me to my face they are working on something else or they plan on dragging this out to the extend that they finally lead up to what they really wanted to do after they show the "NEW SEASON OF DAIMA, Goku's finally no longer a kid with the help of vegeta and friends oh wow!"

Then everyone would get hyped and jump back in and forget that they wasted... years of time.. all over again.

I'm just sayin' that's my gut feeling here is Daima is probably suited for new viewers only, but for us waiting for the next Gohan & Piccolo season with Goku & Vegeta where like EVERYONE was let off on.. yeah we're waiting people please hurry up and let us know when there is something ready for real. I’m pretty sure since Gomah specified how old he wanted them then that means they are 6 and 7 years old while Goten, Trunks, and Dende weren’t really specified
