There are three reasons I love Ireland, History, Mythology and their Literature....and I noted you didn't mention Jonathan Swift, George B. Shaw, and William B. Yeats....it's all fascinating and interesting to me....excellent stuff again.

absolutely love Joyce, Wilde, Rooney and Banville! There's something so intimate and poetic about Irish literature.

Well done Bryan a very good introduction to Irish writers. What about Yeats, Kavanagh, Shaw, Flann O'Brien, Heaney, Goldsmith, JP Donleavey. Well worth another video

Great summary of Irish literature! Hard to cover all the great writers in a short video, but maybe another time you could tell about WB Yeats, Jonathan Swift, Laurence Stern, Bernard Shaw... I am also wondering about Lord Dunsany, as he is never mentioned among Irish authors and seems to be quite influential even today

Thoughts on Colum McCann? I have only read "Let The Great World Spin" but it lives among my top faves. Also Donal Ryan? I have only read "From a Low and Quiet Sea" which I picked up in Ireland and actually loved but would not put it in my Cat 1 list.

The best way to enjoy Ulysses to to grab a snug in a bar, put on the audiobook, have a jar or two (extend to your pleasure) and lose yourself in the lyricism, like all the great modernist works, TS Eliot etc, it's supposed to be an experience.
