That is precisely what the Vedas say that you can' understand God through your intellect. There are several contradictions in His personality. His Heart is softer than a flower at the same time he is as hard as a thunderbolt. Hence, the Upanishads say that through lectures and dissertations, you can't explain or understand God. You can' explain or understand God through your intellect. Lord Krishna explained to Arjun that when he descends in his avatars, the materially conditioned souls are unable to recognize Him as they lack divine eyes. The avatars have taken place innumerable times. We have had innumerable past births. The probability is that in some past life or the other, we did see God. However, since his form was divine and our intellect material - we were unable to recognize him.

I says : that God is a positive energy pure soul. & we are human but our outer body is a medium to archive to God it's a road. & we are soul & soul means we are so if we don't have outer medium how to archives God. Very nice explanation by Swamiji as to why we cannot see God. We have all seen God in our past lifetimes. However, since our material senses and intellect do not have means to understand the divine qualities of God, we do not remember seeing Him. Thus, we cannot ever know God with our material senses and intellect.
