US Politics: Campaign Finances

Показать описание
This video explores campaign finances in US elections including legislation such as The Federal Election Campaign Act (1974), Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act (2002) and Supreme Court judgements such as Citizens United vs FEC (2010). I look at examples of PACs, Super PACs and Hybrid PACs in 2016 and discuss the situation in 2020. Campaign spending appears to be out of control but would any controls conflict with freedom of speech? Part of my A Level Politics and US Politics playlists. Hey there, would just like to say thank you so much for this! It’s a shame the series doesn’t get much attention-I think many politics students would greatly benefit from this. Their loss.

Hi Alan. Can we get a “how to get an A*/A in A-Level Politics”? There are hardly any recent ones on YT.
