Where is the cmos battery located on this laptop? If it is absent of one, is there any way to reset the bios? I have an e14 gen 2 my gf lost a note she made with the password and recovery key. I attempted a password reset but with the bios password protected. She failed to write down the bitlocker recovery key as well, so this is looking like a brick… any help?

What an awful piece of "Technology Progress"... argghhh. I very gently opened the bottom as you described and still many of the plastic retainers broke... WHY JUST WHY are they producing crap like this? Then the next bummer a full size M.2 SSD with chips on both sides does not fit in the slot! Only built for single sided modules! WTF? And then only 2 USB Ports when the power brick is connected, one even only USB2... In 2021? Incredible!

이 제품은 배터리 문제가 생기면 ac를 연결해도 켜지지 않나요? 어느날 켜지지 않아서 배터리를 분리해보니 전원은 켜집니다. 다만, cpu가 가장 낮은 배수로만 작동합니다. 배터리가 없이 AC전원만 연결하면 성능 제한이 걸리는지, 나의 제품이 문제인지 모르겠습니다. 배터리를 분해 후, 각 셀의 전압을 체크해보니 2.6V로 망가져있었습니다. 각 셀마다 별도로 충전을 했지만 보호회로가 잠겼는지 전압이 나오지 않는다. 다만, 배터리 연결하고 ac전원을 연결하면 배터리 잔량이 부족하다는 메시지가 나오고 꺼집니다(그 전까지는 배터리 연결상태에서는 ac전원을 연결해도 파워스위치의 led가 2초간 켜지고 바로 꺼져버렸다)
