I'm so looking forward to this update, especially the Orphix/Necromechs being integrated into the game in some way shape or form. It might not have been the most complicated, strategic or most technologically advanced game mode ever put to a video game, let alone Warfarme, but gosh darn it, I love walking around with my corn bot and making the grass grow. I still think DE stuck the landing with the inclusion of the corn bots.

Unifying a lot of the UI and the systems as a whole is something DE should have done from the start. While the whole avionics system wasn't bad per se, one thing that always bothered me there wasn't a way to have maxed out spots, mods and every slot filled up. At least one slot had to remain empty. Even if it costs a forma, I'm more than happy to use one of those to get those slots filled and have an overpowered ship.

I have a hard time believing at least one of the new game modes won't suck, so in terms of just playing them, I'm eager to try them out. Also, I'm sure there will be an easy farm site for all of us to do RJ upgrades and everything. We'll just have to see which one(s) it will be.

My only concern is the fact that RJ energy comes from your warframe's energy. This kind of bottlenecks your choice of frames to bring into combat if you ask me.

I actually like avionics though. I hope they convert the health armor and shield avonics we already have, into the hulls or whatever. Because I do not want to go back to having a Railjack that is made out of paper.

IMO, they shouldn't need to remove Gian point. Instead, they should buff/scale up affinity/rewards for other missions based on their length of time needed to complete so then we wouldn't rely on Gian too much. Gian point is needed as a first test/stepping zone for what we going to expect on Veil Proxima difficulty level

I'm all for DE trying to fix and add things but when it takes 3 revisits to semi new content just to get it to what it should've launched at means they should probably focus on other things in our base game instead of trying to cram failed content into our base game systems.

I think these updates are not going to be staggering or horrible. The additions here are the foundation for future updates that allow the Interceptors to see more use throughout the game. The problem they faced with this mode and several others was that it became a " lonely island ".

Steve mentioned this in the past. The Plains, the Vallis and The Drift are all good settings for gameplay but once there, there is no integration between that space and any other parts of the game. The railjack nodes are similar and that is why this is a good promise of things to come. If the railjack nodes are functioning on resources for upgrades that are similar to the other gear we use, that means it will reward players with a powerful way to grind the essentials. That seems viable to me, since the purpose of the Interceptor is to make you a resource grabbing machine like any Grineer officer or Corpus executive. They dominate sectors of space and mine their resources...and so will we.

Consider Oplink. It was shown, in some small measure, in the Scarlet Spear invasion and it did function to that specific intention. When the railjack nodes and system are improved and normalized, we will see Oplink more and each open zone will not be a lonely island. Think ahead and we could even see Oplinks connecting us across the star chart, with a railjack team coming in to aid a player while they hit a Corpus capital ship in the usual way. It may sound overly optimistic to some but if railjack has its much needed stability improvement and the upgrade system is standardized, the next step is opening the portal and removing the glass wall that separates railjack from other missions.

I've got mixed feelings about the update. Like commander intrinsic, on the border about them turning my Railjack on it's head. So my question becomes, the HELL is the reason for a reactor anymore? They're removing the energy you build, so that capacity is unnecessary. And what happens to the mod capacity? Do we need to potato and forma our railjack now too? Re rank our railjack again and again until we get them back to the old strength?

What about those of us who have upgraded / fused every tier 3 weps, and upgraded every grid on our railjack? Is the cost going to be refunded at a 1 to 1 ratio? Like will I get enough endo back to represent the investment I will now have to make on the mods? I have also upgraded every avionic to its max, will I again get a 1 to 1 refund allowing me to max out the avionics in mod mode?

So I spent my life leveling my railjack and now I'll need to do it all over again. Fuck. Also if the switch to mods will make my solo railjack weaker I'll get exceptionally pissed

I have literally no expectations with this update honestly because it's going to be a majorly buggy mess along with a more annoying way that Liches need to be done

safe to say I'm not looking forward to this at all the fact you have to forma the railjack now is a major turn off and as I said it's gonna be a buggier more annoying way to do Liches and I for one am not going to be doing any of the new Corpus Queen pin boss fights lol

+ I’ve actually enjoyed RJ since- not “launch”, but since it was (usually) playable. It definitely has some ‘idiosyncrasies’, true. But really, my biggest problem is finding a damn teammate, much less one that isn’t brain damaged, much less a full team. The one time I got a semi-competent full crew, I had a great time, and said ‘idiosyncrasies’ (9, 001 simultaneous fires and limited fire extinguisher juice..) were almost negligible.

I think it really depends on what kind of player you are, and how you think about it. As a filthy casul, I finished The Sacrifice, killed Voltron a few times in Cetus, and considered that “finished”. Since then, I just play off and on when there’s new updates or a friend is working on the star chart. I’m not a hardcore MLG Max IQ gamer doing SL4, torch only, no damage, 30 hour blindfolded solo endurance runs to find the Tier 3 Guidance Rune like Squad Leader. I did try to find the T3 Guidance Rune (It’s real, man! I can feel it... calling to me... at my side, all along... my true mentor... can you.. can you see them, too..? #LudwigDidNothingWrong)- but that’s another story. And you’d have to sign a contract first.

I only have 2 Rivens, one for Jaw Sword and one of those gooey alien infected Zaws (btw, is that good..? I think I remember something about the Jaw Sword and dispositions or... something..?). Also, a single Arcane above rank 2, and it’s the one that’s supposed to stop Voltron from screwing up your energy (or something...?) but seems to work approximately never- quite possibly because that’s *not* what it actually does and I’m dumb. Clearly, I am the filthiest of filthy casuls, so for me RJ is mostly just a fun little self-contained mini game.

Come to think of it... that’s exactly what it is. And it’s sort of a microcosm of how I play Warframe in general... So... That would make perfect sense... Derp. 😂 And speaking of which...

+ Raid Shadow Legends really doesn’t deserve all the hate. It’s actually not that bad. I mean, for what it is, it’s pretty fun. Plus it’s free... and if you use the link above to try it, you can help out Squad Leader! It only takes a minute! You can spare a minute! After everything that your boy has done for you? Come on- try it! 👍 (Seriously, it’s not bad...)

(Real talk: if they offered you a few dollars, don’t even try to pretend you’d be like “But muh principles! That mobile stuff is *killing* video games, bruh...” For one, no it’s not- general stupidity, sleazy business practices, and some sort of weird Fanboy Stockholm Syndrome is. So miss me with that nonsense. You know you’d do it. I’d do it for 5 cents. Hell, I just did it for free. Then again, I enjoy RJ, so my judgement is questionable, at best...)

I'm not completely on board with losing flux energy for warframe energy though. Everything else seems alright for me. And I like how they're bringing back orphix.

4:30 Not all railjack mods are going to stack across all players. There will be one aura slot, which will additively improve the railjack with things like railjack health, shield or armor. While the turret damage mod only effects the damage you do (see Hyperstrike at 4:40 is not an aura mod).
5:40 With the Dirak to Endo convertsion 1 to 1, Railjack is by far the most efficient endo farm right now (except for the one weekly ayatan mission) from scrapping wreckage and avionics and the occasional 1k dirac mission reward.
6:50 You get crew training points by leveling up your command intrinsic. So for now, it is very limited and not farmable.
