This is why I love this subject so much! It’s cultural relativism. What has been grandfathered into our culture by who has dictated our upbringing on a societal influential level, a personal Familia level and an internal intuition level. Like Masloff or the hierarchy of needs. The example is that I remember most vividly, while reading was an example of the Greeks meeting the Calatians (I believe is correct), for the first time. And while discussing their fathers, the two groups of cultures realized that when the Greeks father would perish, they would burn him on a funeral Pyre. To the Calatians, this was abhorrent, and viewed as disrespectful to the memory of their father and their love for him. So the Greeks asked the Galatians. What do you do with your father? The collations said in response, “ we eat our fathers as to assimilate them, and their strength and spirit as a part of our self.” Needless to say, the Greeks were disgusted! “ how is it that you can eat your father!?” asked the Greeks.” this is the way it’s always been.!” they responded. So you see ethics are tricky. I think we should all have a consensus of what we feel is the absolute right and wrong before we move forward as a society. So it’s not a spin on wheels needlessly to no avail.

It’s funny when you’re both right AND wrong. I know from experience. I’m a high-ranking chef at a university’s catering business, and I was told by a student employee that her coworker (let’s call him Tom) had been touching crew members too much. Not _that_ type of touch, of course. Just casual ones, like on arms or shoulders. He was always very outgoing at work. Still, I took him to my colleague’s office for a chat and told him that he shouldn't touch anyone without consent. Just handshakes. I said we needed the workers to be comfortable in a good work environment, that he pretty much shouldn't talk about anything other than work and school. How he shouldn't tell his stories because they may be inappropriate to some degree to the other workers; funny to him but not others. I think he’s about 25, give or take. He seemed pretty quiet and silently awkward and uncomfortable during my speech. Answered a question or two with a nod and headshake. The only question he had for me was if anyone reported his touching; I said, "It doesn't matter, " but looking back, I bet it made him feel uncomfortable.

That day after work, he went skiing and got into an accident. Broke some bones and had to go to the hospital. Suddenly, I didn’t care about his mistakes and flaws. All l could think about was his condition. I realized I may have gone a little too far too. Yeah, I was right about how he should be more filtered at work, and that the casual touching needed to be restricted for his coworkers’ comfort (and for him to be successful), but I shouldn’t have taken him to the office. I shouldn’t have spoken to him the way I did. I shouldn’t have said to his boss (who was in the room with us too), “is there anything you want to add?” That was rude and condescending of me, now that I think of it. Of course Tom never meant any discomfort or tactless harm. He only meant to joke around and have fun with his coworkers. I should’ve shown my patience and understanding toward that. I should've only given him a very brief and gentle talk in the hall, not a lecture in the office with his boss present. He didn't deserve that. He probably felt like a criminal in an interrogation room. Besides, it's perfectly natural to causally touch or tap people *without* it being creepy; maybe Tom deserved a right like that, within reason and limits so he didn't go over them and discomfort anyone. I guess restricting him to handshakes is a bit unfair. He is a not a creep; he's a friendly fellow. When I see him again, I'm gonna tell him I'm sorry for being a bit too tough on him. That I mishandled the situation and could've done better. I think I'm no better than him. He may have "crossed a line, " but only unintentionally; I crossed a line more immortally, I guess.

Many people THINK relatively for moral standards of right and wrong, but they never ACT that way.

What is right in a situation need not be right in another situation, this is the reason for the confusion.

This confusion is the reason for many to postulate, "Nothing is Right or Wrong, it is based on one's perspective".

The fact is, "perspective by itself is flawed as every individual's perspective is developed based on that individual's surroundings/upbringing".

If that is the case then the assertion, "Nothing is Right or Wrong" is correct?

That assertion will become correct only when there is no chance to assess a thing without any perspective!

Is it impossible to view a thing without a perspective?

Why not?

Each of us does this when we sit on judgement for those issues that do not have any impact on us! When we are not the subject matter of a judgement, we will analyze the situation indifferently and hence we will come out with the right judgement.

Like this, by indifferent analysis of every situation, every act has been classified as Right and Wrong over the past several generations (this has nothing to do with Religion). All we have to do is to understand why a thing is called Right or Wrong.

In fact, by following certain practices every individual will get the ability to indifferently view every situation including those which will affect them and will be able to see what is Right and what is Wrong

Thank you, great video. I would just ask what is right or wrong? Who decides? What makes it right I think is what you have experienced or been told. We could all agree that scripture is right, and that would be great. But which ones? Should we be allowed to gather all scripture and try to come to agreed rules? Alot of scripture has been removed or changed. I think most people are right in their reality. Many may disagree. But i think the answer is very deep and personal.

It ain’t rocket science. Right and wrong come from survival or more importantly human survival. Considering humans can only survive in a group it is important for the individual and group to survive, so anything that threatens the group or individual survival is wrong. Meaning maintaining trust and cohesiveness with group is how people survive.

Being right or wrong outwardly is an illusion, within that outward definition of this contrast the wrong group or person is the one always benefiting, making it right within himself and wrong outwardly. What about the person not gaining are they right or wrong, are they right for not gaining or wrong for not obeying their own internal rightness? The world is a continual exchange of polarity within the two subjects. You get to choose which one you obey.

I absolutely love the fact that he described that science today is the new religion. In my opinion, with how Loosely science is now unscientifically used, I would venture to say that in today's age (since covid), science is now pretty much a cult.

Wrong and right is judged by the society, the ongoing rules from ages, and the interpretation of our own brain.
Do anything that brings you joy that doesn't hurt others, because that would initially bring back the pain on you. Society's judgements, norms we had been taught since childhood are all dynamic and doesn't applies equally to everyone. But stay intensely focused on that one thing, dragging the past did mistakes, regretting on the choices you made years ago would only inflict more pain on you, your intellect is your enemy

I have a question based on the conclusion of this video. Outside of the biblical version of what is right and wrong or moral, ... if I could sum up a few of your statements or presumptions that people basically have inherently a moral compass built within their DNA 2 judge what is right and wrong by the way it makes them feel., then how does what you say apply to Psychopaths or even people who have autism or are on the autism spectrum?

I think culture and tradition can be a good source of morality. Earthling Ed says things that are nonsense when it comes to morality

Right and wrong is determined by love. When viewing right and wrong from any other perspective, morality becomes an illusion, subjective. It doesnt exist to the non believer (of love). Those that think love is just an chemical reaction in the brain are greatly under estimating its power.
