This is my home town! I was in high school when this happened. Everyone was looking for her, everyone tied purple ribbons around town to show support for her and her family. It shook our small town. It was insane to see it all unfold in real life. My ex boyfriends mom knew the guy that did it, he was friends with tons of underage girls on Facebook. So crazy.

I came for the true crime, but I stay because of how much empathy and care is given to the victims and their families in your story telling. I love how the name of the channel is literally MURDER with my husband, and everytime things start going south Garret is like: ohhhh noooo 😳😨 and its always a genuine reaction.
I’ve already heard of this case, but you guys bring a whole different human empathic touch to it.

I can't even imagine what those 2 friends must think and feel every day of their lives. This is absolutely not meant to make them feel bad. I'm putting myself in their shoes. When we're young we make decisions bc we feel invincible. I always tell my boys (12 and 14) that their actions affect more than just themselves. Usually it's about them fighting or lying then causing me and our household stress but it works in this situation as well. It is 100% NOT their fault she was killed but i can only imagine what they feel every day. Bless them.
