My dad was very religious, passed in 2018 but basically predicted how things are now and I only ever dismissed it, fast forward 6 years and I’m just starting to understand what he meant by “spiritual warfare”.
I don’t know what it is but energy is definitely real and stuff like this certainly helps to put it together.

This this this a thousand times this. Anytime I get into it with people about this, I always end up asking "Are you happy? Is your life going well? Does it feel like you're living in a thriving society or does it feel like you're in a society that's collapsing around you? Does it feel like racism/sexism is getting better or worse?"

Honestly that's what flipped me from being far left to being right of center in the past few years. I had the epiphany that being a "progressive" for 20 years had gained me nothing but anxiety and self loathing.

I love this take, because it encapsulates the importance of values and structure in people's lives.
A long time ago, I noticed the patterns of what I would deem "soulless people" those who put money, power and status above all else.
They sold themselves to the highest bidder essentially, and in nerd D&D terms they're warlocks.
Their patron is money and power minus the cool spells and fulfillment.

This is what I continue to find so baffling about modern spirituality. Most of it is materialistic. It makes sense that a capitalist society could become very materialistic and full of consumerism and stuff. This was a big criticism of capitalism by older communist states like the USSR. BUT, we had ideas like Christianity, Buddhism, etc, that kept people grounded and balanced this stuff. What's odd is how these new spiritualistic ideas like the Secret for instance, are about manifesting wealth and success. You see this within modern Christianity with the word faith movement as well.

What's crazy though is you even see it in the neo-marxist movements like wokeism, which encompasses movements like BLM, neo feminism, and other critical theory derivatives. So while they bash capitalism and the patriarchy, their criticism is not materialism is bad, but rather that they want to redistribute that materialism to them. They don't want a society that moves beyond material obsession, rather they are obsessed with climbing the ladder and getting "their turn" at the top.

I thought about this recently. The commodification of everything, profaning all in its wake, is profoundly ugly and demoralizing.

Most leave the world poorer than they entered it, having pawned off their dignity and honor.

Just look at the rise in people dying alone, whose bodies are found only weeks later, decomposed enough to make it impossible to narrow in on the death date.

If this is the direction your channel is moving in then I AM SO HERE FOR IT. There are countless people pointing out the flaws in both men and women. You do it better (and funnier) than most, but its only the acknowledgement of a symptom. This process of peeling back the layers to expose the deeper issues is the next step. To fully understand the breakdowns within society, and attempt to trace back to the root cause. Only then can we start to adjust behavior/thinking in a healthy and more positive way. I always laugh at your men/women stuff and I realize it probably helps pay the bills. But this kind of work actually has the potential to make a real change.

My brother and I just recently had a conversation about this. We both agreed that the way that a majority of people are acting now is backwards to how we were intended to live. If we want things to get better, we ought to put aside what is making us all dreary of existence and pursue our inner purpose.
