Get combat ready with Rocky® S2V Tactical Military Boots! Built for quick maneuvers and fast-paced action, Rocky S2V boots are the choice for die-hard military professionals.

The combat boots have flash-resistant materials and SuperFabric insteps geared to protect your feet from quick flashes and rope burns. Rocky tactical boots also have triple-stitched uppers and Vibram® wrap-around outsoles.

Don't let wet conditions bog you down. Inner drainage ports allow you to go amphibious by pushing water out of the boots so you can move full speed ahead.

Rocky's advanced S2V Sieve™ technology circulates air in and water out of these men's boots, so feet stay dry, cool and comfortable even in the most severe conditions. You get superior drainage as S2V Sieve technology increases water dispersal and breathability by 300 percent over traditional drain plugs in other military combat boots.

Roll-Stop Ankle Stability provides a unique rounded edge outsole for a stable foundation for every foot fall, dramatically reducing ankle injuries due to roll over.

These also are comfortable military boots thanks to the Rocky Air-Port™ cushion footbed. This is a polyurethane molded footbed that retains its shape, is comfortable, and circulates air to your feet as you step.

With these combat boots made in America, you get footwear that's uniform-compliant and Berry-Compliant.

If you need Army boots, Air Force boots, Marine boots or Merchant Marine boots, a great choice is a pair of Rocky military boots.

My S2v insulated boots failed in less than 1 year. The inside sole collapsed around the cleats and it felt like walking on rocks. I noticed the nice cushion in the heel failed first in about 3 months. Now I can feel every cleat under my feet. I replaced the insole with a new one but the damage is the EVA bedding in the boot sole area. Rocky is replacing them but I am selling them promptly and buying some Danner boots. EVA material is soft but if you are serious about needing a boot that has real support, you need a rubber sole. EVA could be made better with a chemistry change and maybe this was a screw-up during manufacturing, but it did happen to me. Every manufacturer has different chemistry to make them softer and Rocky did a great job in doing so. If you are an officer in the military and spend most days tiddly winking around garrison then this boot is for you. If you are in the field carrying heavy loads, get something else.

You should wear the boot for months and walk at least 100 miles in them before you can review a military boot.

I have a pair of these and I'll tell you these were worth the over $240 I paid.

Hiking 15 miles feels like 5 in these boots and I couldn't ask for more.

I’m not sure how long you “hiked” around in those.. but they are brand spanking new and unworn.

How is the toe box area of the S2V boot? Is there a lot of room for your toes to wiggle?

I’m curious why the Vibram sole is darker than most of the SV2’s I’ve seen. Really considering these boots.

This boot is definitely a BUY if comfort and durability are your needs.
Your comments on the weight .... its a combat boot. The weight 1. is NOT that much 2. The sole because its a combat boot has extra material inside for fast rope considerations and your average every day "hikers" do not need material considerations for body weight PLUS pack weight.... many many boots do not account for pack weights by design and fail during hard use or hurt while packing additional weight.
I use these boots (multiple models) as a Hunting Guide (and former Military) because all commercial boots I have tried for backpacking animals and heavy meat loads out of the woods just do not cut it. "Combat Boots" are designed with the intent and consideration that it isn't just the burden of body weight it has to account for, it is Body weight + Pack weight of 70+ pounds or more. Additional comfort levels have to be added for the expected use and additional weight a wearer will put the boot thru.
Understanding the technology included in the S2V line would be good too.... the design for walking out water inside is a bonus (u r in FL) rather than soaking it into the boot and water logging the boot and holding it like 90% of other boots.
Those are "Speed Laces" ....Tie a knot in the end of them and you can take them off quickly with a few finger pulls thru the laces. Then basically in one pull you can secure them on your feet. Speed laces are super awesome and I absolutely hate the hook or eye systems of nearly all civilian and commercial boots.
S2V.... is a military term as well. Surprise, Speed, Violence of Action
Its not just being worn overseas.... it WAS designed for Combat with in-put from SF & Delta Operators. It can be a casual boot but it was never intended to be casual at all.
It has to be US made to be a legit Military Boot (Berry Compliance rules)

Do these run true to size? Should I order them the same size I would get in pair of sneakers? Thanks!

Best boot I've every worn. On par with Danners and the older TFX mountains.

In the S2Vs that I received the inside of the heel didn't have the stitching covered so the the stitches rubbed my heel raw lin less than 2 miles! Rocky customer service sucks(!!!) still can't get ahold of them. I guess I'll look for a shoe repair shop and get them fixed. I considered selling them but I can't burden the buyer with this poor quality crap. I can't say that this is typical, maybe mine are one off but Rocky should back their product and answer their phone.

these wore like herman munster boots and had hotspots galore. i also disliked how the cordura was attached to the tongue, and they are heavy. i bought a pair of bellveville C320 and they are perfect.

What I want to figure is how this boot lines up against the USMC Danner or WellCo RAT boot; cause those are the main competitor in my mind.

How do they size? Are they true to the given size or did you need to go a little bigger or smaller? And how do they compared in size to other boots? I wear Belleville's at the moment but looking for a change.

How do these compare to the Lowa Zephyr GTX Mid TF? Or Danner Tanicus?
