Confidence matter a lot to the health of an economy. Yes presidents can do very little to actively run the economy. yes both presidents had policies that did effect the economy. ttump had relay bad policy for the economy that definitely had a massive impact, this one sided trade war, and biden as best is just unwilling to move past this pro cooperate stance. But having a president that not actively trying to destroy democracy dose help economic health as people have confidence in the system.

The question should be : is trump or Biden better for our mental health? There were literally parties on the street where I live when Biden beat Trump. It was like the iron curtain was lifted. We all thought we were going mad living in a world where mocking disabled, pussy grabbing, tax fraud, overthrowing democracy amongst many many more were all acceptable behaviours.

If we keep threatening to default on our debt, absolutely we will lose reserve currency status. Obviously a huge blow to the country.

It always seemed to me that drumph used all the economic tools unnecessarily in an already good economy to shock it into unhealthy growth. Then, when we needed those tools(ability to lower interest rates for ex.), they were all used up. Plus a myriad of other poor decisions like tax breaks for wealthy that brought in less revenue. But, that is arguably by gop design so they can cut things later.

The government doesn't control gas and food prices. The only control over inflation is to raise interest rates to slow growth. People and corporations, transportation companies have that control over consumer prices.

I don’t think it’s fair to make comparisons such as this. There are many factors involved with the first one being….what were things like when they took over for their predecessor. Did a president inherit a healthy or damaged economy.

I will take Biden all day every day but some things you need to look beneath the surface before comparisons are made
