What’s the movie Career Opportunities about?
The town con and the town beauty team up to outwit a half-wit pair of would-be burglars in this hilarious comedy from John Hughes. Frank Whaley stars as Jim Dodge, a smooth-talking small-town guy with a knack for putting up a front—but no talent for holding down a job. But Jim's life suddenly takes a turn for the fantastic when he finds himself locked inside the local department store one night with Josie McClellan (Jennifer Connelly), the daughter of the town's wealthiest citizen. And when this unlikely pair is treated to a surprise visit from two bargain-hunting burglars (Dermot Mulroney and Kieran Mulroney), the laughs keep escalating in this delightfully entertaining look at small-town America.

It’s a story about a guy who dreams big and a gal who dreams to be on her own. He wants to be some kind of famous billionaire as where she just wants to be out of her fathers control. On the other hand he is satisfied and content with life & it’s turn outs as where she only graduated and feels that there’s so much more. Both too scared to take that risk. Until she kind of uses him and pushes him to taking the initiative into “being a man” and they go on to help leading to the arrest of the thieves, keeping all the stuff and living happily ever after.

Legend has it she cheated on him and he ended up suing both her and her father and became and multi millionaire man
