Milwaukee FastBack 6 In 1 Utility Knife

This is far and away the best utility knife I have ever seen for the blue collar worker. Small enough to be carried comfortably, large enough to be useful, and the added bonus of an on board driver, this thing checks all the boxes.

I agree that this is possibly the most useful knife I've ever owned for daily real-world use. I don't think you can really compare it to a traditional multi-tool, but I don't need all the bells and whistles on a traditional multi-tool on a daily basis, either. This one checks all the important boxes. Sharp. Easy to "re-sharpen." Onboard storage for a spare blade (with two edges, to boot). <-- [other comments have probably pointed that out] Very safe and strong lock. Phillips #2 driver. Slotted driver. Ability to use other driver bits. Strong. Secure lock. Good and very durable clip. Comfortable/good ergos. And great pricing. Everyone should own a few of these. 👍

the fact they changed the blade changer button is huge for right handed electricians! while stripping heavy wire the blade would pop out on the old ones! super excited!! love the videos keep it up! thanks for the video!

This video convinced me to get one at my local Home Depot, as of 02/28/24, it's on sale for $14.97. I also bought 5x Milwaukee blades for $1.38 too.

Love the vids. I use this knife everyday and found out that it has indeed a dedicated place to store a extra blade . On the pocket clip side of the knife it has a blade logo. Across from it there is a little tab, when you press it it allows a blade to perfectly fit there. Im not sure why they do not mention this in the package but its makes this knife even better. Hope it helps.

Milwaukee makes some great utility knives. I have two different Fastbacks and they are extremely well built and reasonably priced. One of my favorite tools.

Ben this knife has on board extra blade storage, it's stored inside the handle on the right hand side, you can barely see it. but it's there.

Great tool for the price. Driver and wire stripper look great and the frame integrated bottle opener is nice. Plus that nice 1 blade storage is a plus

There was a point when I was doing more installs that I probably had 7-10 Fastbacks. They are such great cutters. The button lock is killer and they are durable. How many times mine fell 15’-20’ off scaffolding and were fine was amazing. Back then they only had two models, basic and the one with a six razor blade holder.

This one is sick, I’m gonna buy one for my bugout bag. Doesn’t matter how many nice knives you have.. sometimes you need a razor-blade. Great breakdown! I’ve watched like 15 hours of your videos this week lol.

Great review. I'm so glad they did the wire clip. The flat metal ones always pulled out the screws in a matter of days.

Thank you for sharing this video! Wow, that Fastback is a very capable tool. It is interesting that, in terms of functionality, it offers similar features to the Victorinox Tinker—also an excellent multi tool. I guess that combination of features is just classic!

I tried to buy 2 of these months ago. Turns out the ones I got were a different model and I just hadn't noticed, but they're still way more convenient than the utility knife I'd been using before. I still plan on upgrading to these once I lose those.

I like it! Leatherman is always going to be my favorite, but that knife will work very well for a lot of folks.

The bit driver will also work with the leatherman bits, a big plus imo

I believe i saw a single storage slot in another review by tool review zone. It's located where the blade rests when closed.

Otherwise awesome review as always. Would love to see it put to some tests in the future too

Have two of the Fastback 1st generation, it’s a fanatic carry. Never saw the need for the 2nd gen with extra blades, I carry the larger mat knife that has a compartment. This one looks great but I do need to carry a multi-tool on site. Flat bit is called Standard vs. the Phillips bit FYI.

I was planning on getting the regular Fastback, but now I’m definitely getting this upgraded version! Thanks Ben 😎

I love my Fastback, but I didn't know what that wire stripper notch was. Thanks

Also that bottle opener is good for pulling things like the pin on a tow hitch, or pushing the release tabs on vehicles electris plugs.

It has a carrying compartment for one extra blade if you looks close enough. Right underneath the FASTBACK logo
