The 3 Modes of Urban Explore

Urban Explore has 3 different user modes. What I call 'Camera Bag Mode', 'Everyday Mode' and 'Traditional Mode' are all very functional for different use-case scenarios.

"One bag to rule them all!?" I wouldn't go that far but it is a pack that has a lot of versatility.

Really thoughtful design. The ability to configure the bag as needed and access the contents in different ways is really nice.

Santa Ian…PLEASE…a yellow Urban Explore of the 20L kind! 😆

From an owner of Explore V1 30, Explore V2 25 & future proud owner of a yellow Urban Explore 20. 😆

Dear Shimoda, I bought it and it is almost perfect EXCEPT...I can only put a Peak Design quick release plate on the left strap but not on the right strap, this design doesn't really make sense as my preference is to put my camera on the right strap.

Is the core unit here the same size as the one on the explore v2?

Is or will it be possible to have a smaller core unit for the 25L version in the future? Kind of like mode 4 – everyday use with camera and 1-2 other lenses and the rest won't be photography gear (book, lunch, snacks, sweatshirt, etc..) 🙂

Thank you for the video! Which size is this bag? Still torn between the 25 and 30, but concerned that the 30 might be a tad big for travel.

Does the 20L version hold a 14" Macbook Pro in the sleeve that's close to your back?

Can you use the toploader instead of the icu, like in the explore 25? Thus gaining more storage space

The thing that drives me nuts about camera backpacks is that my preferred mode would be a combination of 1 and 2. I want to take a small amount of camera gear plus everyday gear. The wandrd duo is the closest I've seen to perfection in this regard. If the urban explorer had the option of a half size camera cube I'd be tempted....

Mode 3 is what I miss on my action x30. Anyone knows if it’s possible to achieve same result?
