Goosebump moment for me. It was from behind our ancestral home the rescue mission was done. That area was so waterlogged that it has turned to a huge pond now. I have heard stories about this incident since childhood from father, grandfather. They have witnessed the whole thing. I still remember father giving me descriptions of the people when they came out of the mine. Days of hunger, lack of enough oxygen, light had changed them so much that they did not look like human. Finally someone is telling the world about the bravery of the mining engineer Jaswant Singh Gill and next to hell life of mine workers back in those days.

My father was the part of this mission to save life, he used to say that he worked 24 hours tirelessly for more than one month in all 3 shift, he slept over there during this operation. Today he is no more but i always feel proud of dad😢

I can proudly say that my NANA JI is a part of this mission. Actually, the Capsule in which the miners had to evacuate from was made in that factory (Eastern Coal Field) where my NANA JI used to word as a Formen incharge in WB. He helped in making that Capsule.

My house is just behind the coal mine, when this incident happend i was the eye witness.
The situation was very critical and the locals panic..then i decide to rescue people and it is the best decision i had ever taken.
