SAFER INTERNET DAY 2020

On the 11th February of 2020, get your creative imagination, explosive motivation, the world’s upside-down talents out of your backpack and jump into the cyber world at Zalgirio Arena!

This year, the initiators of the SAFE INTERNET project in collaboration with the social innovator community ChangeMakersON, will celebrate the SAFER INTERNET DAY in Lithuania in a completely different way! As many as 20 teams will be invited to take on one of the 6 challenges and work together with the experts to build a true Safer Internet Idea Generator at Saugesnio interneto diena 2020 // CYBERteens

// WHAT USEFUL AND INTERESTING WILL WE DO? //

The 20 selected teams from different schools will share 6 different challenges and like real detectives they will navigate the darkest issues in the unsafe Internet. Throughout the event, each team will be actively pursuing their goal of learning from true failure stories, participating in social detective, and applying creative design knowledge to develop their idea. For up to 3 hours, participants will immerse themselves in creative workshops: with the help of over 30 experts, they will selectively develop incredible innovation concepts from the web gadgets to educational escape rooms.

// WHY IS IT WORTHY TO BECOME AN INTERNET GUARDIAN? //

Today, the world’s globe revolves around in the intense rhythm of social networks and draws an extremely thin line between virtual and real life. Perfect selfies are shifted by cyberbullying, and your honor and pocket-money are waylaid by created fictional characters. Security no longer has physical boundaries. You create your security with your own decisions. So don't be a passive observer, but an active guardian of the internet!

# If you already have the idea how to make the Internet safer – share it in the registration form! It will give you more points in the competition.
