If you are a beginner in AI and machine learning, here is a 6 months roadmap to learn and transition into AI and ML. Machine learning is difficult if you do not have a plan on the topics to study and how much time to spend on each topic. It will take years to become an expert in ML but the first few months are important. If you are a college student or trying to learn ML and AI as a new skill to get into data science and you only have a few months before graduating or finding a new job, this video will help you plan your learning journey. Start by learning python and the math and statistics behind the ML algorithms. Focus on a handful of algorithms and understand the essence of what you are trying to achieve and gain experience in tackling the common problems people face as ML and AI engineers or scientists. I give a month by month breakdown on what you need to learn so you can get started without much stress.

Stay tuned to stay ahead of the curve in the world of science!

About the channel:
Welcome to ChemCoder. As a computational chemist myself, I had to transition to AI and ML towards the end of my PhD program and I have to admit, it was a lot of learning, making mistakes and late nights. If you are a graduate student, freshman, sophomore or a senior in college and wondering if this field of chemistry and programming is for you, you ARE in the right place! We as chemists or as scientists in general have a very unique position to learn and integrate our coding skills to bring new technology and innovation to the world. The future depends on us and our ability to learn, stay motivated and persistent in this difficult field. Join our community as we strive to get better every day.

This is like learning how to create a AAA video game with no prior knowledge all by yourself. It's a setup for frustration and failure. Anything worth learning requires minute, focused, goal orientate, steps; Small, incremental, improvements over time. You aim for the basics and provide context for those basics to incentivise continuous learning. Learning tooling isn't as valuable as learning the underlying concepts. Tooling comes and goes. Concepts outlive tooling.

Very helpful, i am currently unsure how much time I can free up per week. I hope to come back and talk about how I progressed in 6 months ❤

Sir those specific math learning step plans would be very useful thanks

the road map was nice but, better to learn data cleaning and preprocessing before algorithms. because these algorithms need clean data

I am a chemist interested in this - what do you do in regards in chemistry/AI what specific algorithms do you rec for a chemist?

I am. Not beginner. I know programming in python + I know bit of numpy library. + I have also studied subjects such as statistics and probability and linear algebra...

How much time do you think i should take to learn machine learning and AI

Sir, if i want to enter into machine learning, ai domain is it worthy to do a ms degree in "ai -- chemical engineering" from cmu ? I am currently a undergrad student in CME from india, ( final year btw ) but i am not interested in core, . instead i did things like dsa, and some data analysis things in python, but due to current job market and my degree being a non "cs related" i am unable to get job in that field, so considering this situation please answer my question .
Thankyou

While doing projects I am always depending on gpt or I feel very bad about it. Any tips

I already know the Basics content of ML from linear regression to convolutional neural network, but I don’t practice, all I I know is just a bunch of theory.

Is there any site where I can find projects to practice??

What about leetcode? I am practicing 1 to 2 leetcode questions everyday, but I have been quite a failure so far in easy questions. My study schedule is current at 10 hours a day. I wonder how long it would take me to get to the point where I can attend interviews.
